This is most likely more to do with people not testing and or reporting anymore.
True I didn’t actually think about it. I still think masks aren’t needed anymore, but of course it’s a personal choice
If there is a Covid case that has attended a doctor surgery , they should alert all people and advise patients who have an appointment to bring their masks if they wish to still attend their appointments .
At least there they can offer the choice for patients to wear a mask, I would rather know if there has been a case there . That way I can make a informed decision myself to wear a mask.
I do still people wear masks on a public transport , I really should start doing that , the amount of people coughing and not covering their mouth or sneezing and not covering their sneeze says a lot that some people still don’t care or pretend Covid is over.
Details of the inquiry
The prime minister said the inquiry would particularly focus on:
- Key health measures, including COVID-19 vaccinations and treatments
- Key medical supplies such as personal protective equipment and public health messaging
- Broader health supports for those impacted by COVID-19 and lockdowns, including mental health and suicide-prevention supports and access to screening and other preventative health measures
- Financial support for individuals
- The support for industry and business
- Assistance for Australians abroad, including assisted returns to Australia
- And governance and national governance mechanisms, including national cabinet
Cue the music for locks down to be called from the Covid fanatics ! I’m vaccinated I’m not wliables for my forth shot for a few months yet !
I don’t like that Catherine Bennett is involved. She was very divisive and unhelpful during her many media appearances during pandemic. Constantly contradicting herself, her modeling and predictions were always wrong. Seemed to always be more interested in one-upping the interviewer to enjoy the limelight.
She was always pro-lockdown before the lockdown was declared, then anti-lockdown once it was. Providing both sides with ammunition to create division. She needed to read the room with how sensitive the topics were and how much of a tinderbox society was in at the time.
I was very much pro-lockdown a couple of years ago when it made sense but that time has long gone. I wouldn’t support that again unless something extreme happens (like half the population drops dead). There will be riots if anyone tries to lock down anything now.
I got my 5th covid shot on the weekend. The Americans finally approved that last week and I didn’t waste any time. I still haven’t had covid so fingers crossed I can keep it that way
Result: Everything is legit, go about your day. keep working for nothing.
ATAGI Update on the COVID-19 Vaccination Program
Australia’s immunisation advisory group ATAGI ✅ have updated their recommendations for 2023 COVID-19 vaccines to help reduce severe disease.

The following areas are not in scope for the Inquiry:
Actions taken unilaterally by state and territory governments.
This review is already fundamentally flawed from the get go with this exclusion, given that so much of the impact of the response was from the actions of the state and territory governments.
I don’t think the people of Australia could handle another lockdown.
God forbid it should ever get to that.
But it won’t within the lifetime of anyone alive right now. In the 3020s the next pandemic will come (if we make it that far) and history will repeat again.
God, imagine Media Spy in the 3020s.
The next pandemic is “due” in 2118… by then, AI will have taken over the world and humans (if climate change hasn’t killed us all by then) will be subservient to AIs.
Hope I brightened everyone’s day with that!
Always wanted to do battle with Skynet!!
yep that’s what I meant
I just had my first cold since COVID started.
Did a RAT Test, came back negative.
Lucky there were two RATS in the box, as I dropped the tube for the first one on the floor when taking the foil off and spilt the test solution.

yesterday Australia’s Chief Medical Officer declared that COVID-19 is no longer a Communicable Disease Incident of National Significance (CDINS) following the end of winter in Australia. AHPPC supports this declaration.
https://www.health.gov.au/news/ahppc-statement-end-of-covid-19-emergency-response
What does the removal of a CDINS mean for the COVID-19 public health response in Australia?
Removal of the CDINS declaration acknowledges that COVID-19 no longer requires national emergency coordination and cross government arrangement of response activities and communications under the high-level crisis management arrangements outlined in the Australian Government Crisis Management Framework.
Most national coordination and response measures that were implemented as part of the CDINS (e.g. international border restrictions, universal isolation and quarantine requirements, and enhanced infection prevention and control) have already been stood down in Australia, in alignment with WHO advice.
Remaining vigilant to changes
The Australian Government along with states and territories will maintain targeted surveillance through well-established national and sentinel surveillance programs. Surveillance will focus on monitoring key indicators, including syndromic information, disease severity, SARS-CoV-2 variants and impacts on high-risk groups. This will ensure that the spread and effect of COVID-19 is effectively monitored so we can respond to changes and new variants as they occur in a proportionate way.
Data and reports on COVID-19 will continue to be published and updated regularly. As our response to the pandemic evolves, the availability and reliability of particular metrics, such as case information, has decreased. COVID-19 reporting will transition to focus on indicators with the greatest public health relevance. In addition, recognising that week-to-week changes in data do not demonstrate clear trends, reporting frequency will be reduced to allow more meaningful assessments of disease transmission and impact over time. This will bring COVID-19 reporting more in line with other infectious disease reporting.
