Given the timeslot, I’m only guessing that it was a cartoon. Just a guess, I have no further info on it.

Breakfast went to air for the final time on Channel 10 due to low ratings. The Breakfast show struggled so badly in the early timeslot, beaten by Sunrise, Today and ABC News Breakfast. Unfortunately the ratings never went beyond 100 000 viewers.
ON that day, newsreader Craig Smart was let go from TEN News Perth after nearly 2 years at the network. After Craig Smart left TEN, TEN News Perth ratings have experienced a small decline.
THis was the final time The Project aired in its 6pm timeslot before reverting back to its 6:30 timeslot.
I noticed that Nine Perth aired the final session of the Test match between Australia and South AFrica from the WACA. Instead, CHannel 9 showed US Programming including Ellen, THe View and Extra.
10 had 3 anchors like GMA in the States

- Very interesting to see MAS*H as a Movie in midday timeslot and a repeat episode at 5pm on Channel 7
- The final episode of Temptation went to air for the year. The show was rested in 2008, although Ed Phillips contract has expired.
Crazy to think Ten was still burning off episodes of The Wedge in November 2007
I think they still had episodes to burn off because about the same time in 2008 they bought Temptation back for the Summer non-ratings.

Looking through the television guides, CHannel 7 had unaired episodes of THe Rich List to burn off during the summer non-ratings period. During the summer break, I noticed that CHannel Nine bringing back new episodes of Temptation. Ironically, Ed Phillips was dumped from Channel 9 a few day ago prior to new episodes of Temptation starting.
Over on CHannel 10, they scheduled Judge Judy at 4:30PM straight before the news. THey shunted the Bold and the Beautiful to 6pm timeslot on Channel 10.
Another one of their attempts to try anything other than The Simpsons in that slot.

Hrm. What was “Laughs, Lotto & Longshots” - a combination of British comedy, the Tattslotto draw and harness racing over the summer?
I believe that would be Alfie Atkins. A Swedish cartoon.
IIRC it was the summer replacement for the Penthouse Club, a clunky (though popular) combination of variety with live crosses to the Saturday night harness races and the weekly Tattslotto draw. I’m guessing over the summer the variety show was rested and just replaced with British comedy re-runs or some such thing while still maintaining the racing coverage and Tattslotto.
A segment about Penthouse Club appeared in this 2008 documentary about comedian Mary Hardy who co-hosted the show for most of its run.

Didn’t realise that 7Two broadcasted replays of AUstralian Open Tennis during overnight.
That time, The Sunday Project has been dumped and the simpsons brought back in its 6pm timeslot. I wonder what the ratings look like when Simpsons was reinstated back in late 2012.
In the early days of 7TWO they would go through old AFL matches under the “Footy Flashbacks” name (although at the time a Footy Flashbacks program with an interview with participants was shown pre-Sunday 3PM game, this was just the game in entirety with an ad break in each quarter). When it came close to the Australian Open they would play an old match generally a long 3 or 5 setter pending gender from the earlier Melbourne Park days (1988-about 2005) with a couple of Kooyong era finals thrown in.
I’m sure at some point during that test at the WACA they aired a full days play. That was Ricky Ponting’s final test for Australia and I remember seeing his final innings aired on Nine and it was before the 3:00 pm session.
