Yes, rather than the main channels being a premium place, now they are so watered down and it is the networks’ undoing. All that has done is to accelerate the take-up of subscription services.

I have a DVD (dubbed off a VHS tape I inherited when a friend died several years ago) of “Dark Star” taped from a screening on ATV10, but that was recorded in 1983.

I noticed that all the regional stations relayed “The Wonderful World of Disney” of HSV-7.

Not relayed, as each station showed a different episode.

That was a bit of a mystery, wasn’t it?

In the U.S., “To Be Announced” almost always meant infomercials or other paid programming. What did it mean in Australia?

They may have run it on a weeknight. WIN 4 had it Mondays at 8.30pm in 1980. Before 60 Minutes started to own the Sunday 7.30pm slot it was usually the domain of family friendly, general entertainment.
