Hey Dad…! was first shown on the Seven Network, along with other Australian programmes from the ABC, like Mother and Son and Patrol Boat. They were rerun on Network Ten.

One of the first shows I remember where if you wanted more information or detail about a story they aired, you could go to their website. Seems not unusual now but back then it was very new!

Channel Nine Perth showed the 2010 Winter Olympics on a 3-hour delay. Perth was the only Australian city to have delayed telecast of the Winter Olympics. Many Perth people were annoyed with the delayed coverage of the Olympic Games on Nine.
As well, the Rugby League World Club Challenge was on delayed telecast due to the Encore of the Closing Ceremony.

I suspect that any late night shows from ADS7 have been mistakenly omitted.

So… Cheryl Kernot appeared on all of the Big 3 election night coverages?

All networks were based at the tally room so it wasn’t a big stretch to move from one desk to another. I imagine she wasn’t the only politican to do so, maybe others that weren’t listed.

Going through these guides has taught me 10 always seemed to want something else at 6pm than Simpsons but nothing seemed to stick so they always had to go back.

As a 15 year old this really bothered me.

I gotta say having the multi channels and not having old sitcoms on the main channel bums me out a bit. If 10 aired Seinfeld repeats every late night at 10.30 it’d be such a vibe. The US networks and even UK ones (Channel 4 anyway) still do air Seinfeld, Simpsons etc in syndication and it’s always worth a watch.

Sadly when the multi-channels were taking off from 2009-2011 this was where the big 3 saw a place to dump a lot of the shows they had rights to so it could fill up primetime slots. Outside of the first run stuff like Big Bang or latter period Two and a Half Men they kind of stopped doing sitcoms on the main channels in favour of the multis.
