Classic TV Listings

They pretty much aired Two and a Half Men at 7 all throughout 2008, I think they put Temptation back either at the end of November or early December to air the rest of the Temptation episodes they had left over. Two and a Half Men must have returned to the 7pm slot in early 2009.

The final unaired episodes ran from 1 December to 23 January.

I remember watching those re-runs of The Mole.

One of the more interesting TV fads of the Mid 2000’s that’s for sure.
Ten was a little late to the party with Joker Poker, was about a year or two after the WSOP events were at their peak on TV.

A question for the brains trust.

Was there ever a separate edition of TV Week for the Northern Territory or were the NT listings included in another edition?

In the late 1980s there was a “Northern Territory” edition that included ABC, NTD8 and Imparja program listings. The Queensland regional stations were included but really only to fill up page space as they were already published in the Queensland edition.

By 1993, it appears that the NT got combined with a “regional SA” edition, so that was the Adelaide channels, GTS/BKN, then ABC (NT), NTD8 and Imparja. (The other SA regionals RTS/SES were covered in the regional Victoria edition)

I remember that Christmas Eve 2004 Simpsons marathon it was titled “A Seriously Simpsons Christmas” and no Season 1 episodes were played that night. The last time I remember a season 1 episode airing was on 10 in 2003 with the episode “Life on the Fast Lane”.

These are the episodes that were played on Christmas Eve in 2004:
6.00pm Lisa’s Rival (s6,ep2)
7.30pm She of Little Faith (s13,ep6)
8.00pm Grift of the Magi (S11,ep9)
8.30pm Skinner’s Sense of Snow (S12,ep8)
9.00pm Miracle on Evergreen Terrace (s9,ep10)
9.30pm Marge Be Not Proud (s7,ep11)
10.00pm Homer vs Dignity (s12,ep5)

Besides “Marge Be Not Proud” all those Christmas episodes are pretty bad, They seemed to go big on Christmas episodes when the show was already on the decline. S9-S12 is a really rough period of the show to watch and I saw episodes from that period a lo when I was growing up. Whenever I would stay at my grandparents on weekends and was able to watch The Simpsons Marathons on FOX8 they would always without fail show episodes from S9-S12 and it was those marathons that I grew to really hate that 4 season run.

You’re not a fan of the Mike Scully era?

Not a Christmas episode.

The 6pm episode wasn’t part of the marathon.

Nope, the Worst period of the show for me personally.

Al Jean is the one who killed it off completely.

Al now seems to be sharing show-running duties with Matt Selman.

True, Though I can still find some enjoyment out of the modern show even if it is way more bad than good.
