It ran from March to September when it adopted the Rainbow 7 logo.
HSV7 kept that “Seven” font alongside the rainbow circle 7 logo for promos well into the early to mid 80s.
It would be seen on their outside broadcast vans.
Excellent! I hadn’t gone looking for it for a while. There is another one where a voice whispers “one, two, three. four, five, six, seven” as each of the colored worms comes on screen.
Micallef Tonight, the show that made fun of Alan Jones.
Was there something special about the US Open Women’s golf on Ten? That seems unusual scheduling to me.
Ten were picking up a lot of golf rights both local and international at the time. Karrie Webb was arguably one of the top three female golfers in the world at the time and had won two US Opens in '00 and '01 but missed the cut for this tournament.
Fair enough. I forgot about Karrie Webb

I wonder if that’s a comedy, drama or game show.
I’m guessing Seven’s coverage was for Melbourne only, while the ABC was more for regional Victoria.
This can also apply to some of 10’s recent programming…
Either way, it’s my favourite show at the moment!
There’s a Media Watch Press right there!
Regional WA didn’t have SBS in the 80s
they probably did it so to split the cost of the satellite link between them, similar to when they covered the Olympics in 1972 and when they linked up with Nine for the 1976 Olympics. Satellite costs were hugely expensive.
“SUAP” as opposed to today’s “TBA”
I am guessing that’s where that snippet is from. I reckon it’s in one of the HHIS books?
Not sure what that has to do with ABC and Seven covering the World Cup in Melbourne in 1974?
Nine Melbourne during the daily DOOL episode.
