5 July 1971: Seven debuts The Great Temptation, a prime-time spin-off of the daytime quiz show Temptation. The prime time show runs once a week – Monday at 7pm – but is increased to two nights a week in 1972, and then “stripped” Monday to Friday from 1973. Seven faltered when it shifted Great Temptation to 8.30pm in 1974 to try and battle Number 96, and to make room for its new soap Class Of '74 at 7pm. Both daytime and prime time versions of Temptation were gone by the end of the year.
5 July 1992: Bert Newton hosts ATV10’s Deafness Appeal telethon which runs on a Sunday afternoon, interspersed into regular programming. It’s quite a shift from the old telethon format which used to go all day.
I’m not sure if Ten did any further telethons after that one.
