Why don’t you make a mock channel without help and we’ll compare? Because it seems that all you have is negativity

TWO NEW LOCAL BULLETINS
We will have five local news bulletins in Christchurch, Dunedin, Tauranga, Queenstown and Whangarei

What is “Whaharengi”? It’s Whangarei, and Whangarei is spelled wrong.

Hrm. What is “Stay Up Late” - is it a game show or is it a Sports Tonight type programme?

Stay up late is an adult entertainment show. With adult style games

In New Zealand, “Stay Up Late” is classified 18 (i.e. people under 18 years should not view) and programmes with the 18 classification contain themes which may be challenging or offensive even to some adult viewers. However, on free-to-air television, content that is pornographic in nature is NOT allowed.

Here is the first set of mock graphics in which I created using Microsoft PowerPoint.

Watermarks

I apologise for the opacity of the logos as people may not be able to see them. Because WTV Two is an all sport channel, the WTV Two watermark is located on the top right hand corner while the other watermarks are on the bottom right. For sports and live content, the channel watermark will be located on the top right with the word ‘LIVE’ underneath (below).

Programme return graphics (PRG) - WTV One and WTV Three only

I apologise for the brightness of these pictures as people may not be able to see them.

More to come…

WTV REGIONAL NEWS
Live from Auckland, with Jenny-May Clarkson a regional bulletin serving the regional parts of NZ, will be broadcasted across the country at 10am. Weather with Indira Stewart

I don’t think Jenny-May Clarkson or Indira Stewart will be joining WTV as they are committed to state-owned broadcasting through the new look NZBC, a combination of both RNZ and TVNZ.

WTV ONE SCHEDULE

Over the past few weeks, I have managed to create schedules for PTV Network New Zealand and its family of free-to-air channels (PTV1, PTV2, PTV3, PTV4, PTV5, PTV6 and CPTV) for inclusion on Media Spy. I always inform people that PTV Network is only a fictional broadcaster and if my dreams become a reality, more channels mean more choice for viewers within New Zealand and more opportunities for advertisers.

WTV (Western Television New Zealand Ltd) was created by @AK_NEWS - who is based in Melbourne, Australia, but contributes to the media in Australia and New Zealand via Media Spy - as a New Zealand based ‘competitor’ to PTV Network. WTV’s own family of channels consists of three (WTV One, WTV Two and WTV Three) compared to PTV Network’s ‘magnificant seven’.

The schedules for WTV One (as listed below) are my own interpretation of the creator’s ideas. A basic Monday-Friday guide for WTV One’s first month on air would look like (please note that programmes may be subject to change without prior notice):
