Celebrity Name Game

The first time it aired was last night during BIP, so it’s new as I mentioned above.

There was obviously the initial promos which showed Gina Liano etc, then they were dropped for casting promos when they decided to strip it 5 nights a week and now this.

I’d say this is the first of a few variations they’ll roll out before it goes to air, which is still a little while away.

I just hope it is a while before this airs. Nothing outside promotion on 10. 10 are in some serious trouble if this is all they are going to do.

Why couldn’t they set up some live ‘shows’ at shopping centers etc. to generate interest. They did such a great job handing out jungle ice cream for I’m a Celebrity but have suddenly really dropped the ball on everything else.

I wonder if Grant’s extended recovery will affect the recording of this show.

The show has been recording since November last year. Gina Liano shot some eps…

How many episodes would Grant have recorded before his latest injury?

Too many. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Those episodes have been scrapped due to 10 deciding to make it a weeknight show.

If that’s true and there were a number of 1 hour shows shot perhaps they should air following Masterchef and introduce people to it then drive them toward the 6pm airings when pointless wraps up.

They can use them to flood prime time in every timeslot, like they always do.

Celebrity Name Game All Stars. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Yeah if there are 1 hour episodes I doubt that they will completely scrap them. More likely like Family Feud All Stars they will taint them as primetime specials which will help promote the 6pm show too. I think that is a good idea that might expose the show to a wider audience.

Starts 13th May at 6pm.

Celebrity Name Game

Starts Monday 13 May

Put Your Game Face On!

The host with the most, Grant Denyer, is back behind a buzzer and calling all the shots on 10’s newest game show, Celebrity Name Game.

Airing weeknights at 6.00pm from Monday 13 May, everyday Aussies are paired with guest celebrities in a race against the clock to correctly identify pop culture icons.

Hold up – how do you play? The teams must whiz through three rounds, before heading to the final round for their chance at winning $10,000 cash.

Round 1: The guest celebrity gives the clues while the contestants guess the answers. Let’s try this at home.

Q: What are words beginning with “T”?

A: Twerking, Tiger Woods, Team America.

Round 2: One of the contestants gives the clues, while the other contestant and celebrity guess the names.

Clue: Villains.

A: Darth Vader, Parking Inspectors, Dr. Evil.

Round 3: In a head to head buzzer round, both teams face off as the host gives a clue to a celebrity name. The first to buzz in with the right answer earns money for their team.

Q: She starred as the driver of Herbie The Love Bug , but awkwardly has a stack of drink driving arrests. Blazing red hair.

A: Lindsay Lohan.

In the final round, both guest celebrities will try and guess 10 famous names as the contestants’ race against the clock, taking turns to give the clues.

It’s fast-paced, action packed and will leave you cheering and jeering at the TV.

Well this has no chance. Only promotion I have seen is on 10 and currently that is only been watched by around 400-500k a night.

Even if they could buy promo space on 7 and 9 it still wouldn’t have a chance

This will rate worse than Pointless. Every new game show Ten try at 6pm will rate worse than the previous.

Sadly, almost anything Ten puts at 6pm will rate poorly, due to Seven and Nine’s highly rated news.

Celebrity Name Game should have been a one-hour filler show, similar to the All-Stars Family Feud show.

I hops to be proven wrong, but i can’t see this show working.

This surely only appeals to the lowest common denominator.

Oh, and Studio 10 fans.
