CBS News

I wouldn’t put much stock in Google using something as a thumbnail… quite a few mocks from the old TV Forum have been used as Google thumbnails at one time or another.

Having said that I suppose it’s not unrealistic that CBS might have decided to go for a new look after Norah O’Donnell steps down.

I actually like this look quite a bit.

These could also be the graphics for John Dickerson’s new online version of the Evening News.

Looks like the previously shared logo is legitimate.

Hmmmmm interesting

Just to expand on this. It’s an interesting look they are going for if true. Not a fan of the font, I see maybe they are trying to do the NBC legacy kind of look, but it doesn’t gel with the logo IMO

The circular ring with the orange at the bottom could be a nice little tweak depending on the bulletin. Have the orange for Evening. Dark for Late night, pale orange at the top for early / morning news etc

Looks very 80s.

New headline supers for Special Reports on the Gaza ceasefire and Biden’s exit speech, following the streamer/current Evening News template:

Also:

During her time as CBS News president, Zirinsky overhauled the news division, moving CBS Evening News to Washington, D.C. with new anchor Norah O’Donnell and executive producer Jay Shaylor.

Funny to see her overseeing Evening News’ move to DC then and now back to NY!

Coren leaves CNN

She has been with CNN since 2009?

Yeah. Probably signed up in 2008 and went on air in 2009.

Yeah, from what I recall she joined in mid-2008 and started on air either very late in '08 or very early in '09. I think she was hired as a replacement for Hugh Riminton.

EDIT: Here we are - joined in September '08 and started on air in December.

What a gorgeous space. Can’t wait to see it on air.
Wouldn’t mind 10 using a similar desk to that. Looks extremely classy.

It does look great, but I can’t imagine Candice Wyatt in front of something like that delivering stories about Carlton managers dick pics. Local news is a bit different.

KCBS Los Angeles already has a similar style to this, seems bigger than on this new NY set.

I feel like the KTLA format would suit 10 more.

Looks awesome! Can’t wait to see it

Could see that desk working for 10, the lines remind me of the globe style they use
