I was going to say the opposite - especially since they had only hours notice there would be no audience. I thought they have done a decent job at trying to emulate the Domain staging. If anything sound quality are better. Each to their own.

Larry and Kylie are doing a good job hosting it so far. No cheesy jokes so far, unlike from previous years hosts (ahem… Kochie). The canned applause is slightly distracting though, but not too bad.

I’m expecting higher ratings than last year in Sydney, poorer ratings than last year everywhere else.
Any dodgy festive-themed outfits being worn Larry? While I don’t usually comment online about presenter fashion, those dodgy “grandmothers couch” and “freckles/hundreds and thousands” suit jackets Kochie has worn for portions of recent CITD telecasts really were horrendous!

Why does she sing ‘American’? It was quite odd during the ‘Aussie Christmas’ song.
If you were a kid you would be BESIDES yourself at that cross (despite its ummm quality
