A giant countdown clock has been unveiled 6 years out. LA unveiled theirs last year. Too soon and the sports, emblem and look of the Games haven’t even been unveiled yet

This is just a temporary one until the emblem and branding is unveiled.

I think a temporary countdown clock makes sense. It keeps the Games visible without committing to branding before everything is officially unveiled. Once the logo and visual identity are ready, replacing it with a permanent version will probably have a much bigger impact.

if i’m not mistaken its the first permanent install of anything games related in Brisbane - i’m fairly certain its the first public display of the rings and the agatos anywhere

If you have shooting and archery, darts should be included in the Olympics are part of precision sports. The former two have been in the Olympics for a long time with Darts left out.
Exactly. Plus it would invigorate the whole Olympics.
Patriotic party animals in national costumes cheering on the tungsten toilers at the oche, and getting drunk on the national brew. It’s a win-win-win for everyone.

Careful. The snowflake might sue you like she’s doing to the ABC. The hypocrites on the right: “oh nothing is funny these days because snowflake lefties cry when you make a joke”. But soon as the satirical lens is placed on them they run to the courts because the culture war is the most important thing to them.
