Seven cannot afford the crappy programming it is already commissioning let alone all their very expensive sports rights.
Nine and Ten have a lot more money than Seven.

It will be really expensive for Seven too. Considering their shows are failing it means they’ll have to drop their advertising rates and therefore their revenue will drop. So maybe Seven won’t be able to afford it either.

Sports rights - fair. But they’ve also shot themselves in the foot by halving rights with pay TV.
News dept - smaller than Nine’s and performing ok, especially Sunrise and in Ade/Per.
It’s their entertainment division which is in a complete slow motion train wreck. MKR has been mismanaged, especially ever since Seven lost its Australian Open launch pad. Drama is also just plodding along- nothing spectacular.
Then commissioning expensive formats like Big Brother that no one wants.
But also, they’ve greenlit some real weird shit that has gone no where except into the Wikipedia archives. Think of how much money they’ve spent on dating shows over the past two years, trying and failing endlessly at something audiences clearly don’t want (except for MAFS and Bachie).

Actually, one of the contributing factors behind Seven’s financial issues is the amount they’re paying Danny for his sponsored posts on here.
Especially when (I suspect) Big Brother promotions probably wouldn’t have been scheduled to begin for another few months

If Seven were paying for sponsored posts on Media Spy, surely they’d get users who are better at spelling/grammar?!
Anyway, back on topic. You know Seven is in trouble (not that any proof was needed after last night’s primetime ratings) when they’re already planning to wheel out Big Brother promos!
Have you ever seen Mitchell Nock and Danny Wu in the same room together? 
If they are moving BB forward due to MKR, perhaps we may get it live afterall…

Although having seen the format for the US version of Big Brother, 1 hour a week and having a live eviction show on a sunday night in Australia would be cost effective shortly?
Then maybe having live stream available for free online ? Just thinking how it could be done.
BB will be brought forward. I can’t see them letting the episodes sit on the shelf now considering how bad MKR is going.

Yep I’m guessing they go live and bring it earlier. Still won’t happen for a couple months but MKR rating badly should def bring this forward.

I guess it will all depend on when they plan to film it though. I would say until at least April 7 are completely stuck.

And by that date you’d assume MKR would be close, if not wrapped up.
Not sure bringing any show forward is going to solve Seven’s woes right now, would be a similar situation to 10 in Q1 last year., where the replacement programs didn’t perform all that much better than the shows they replaced.

And Seven had a few dodgy starts with House Rules over the years but stuck with it and it improved during the season.
