Big Brother

Haven’t they been told that whatever they said can and will be used against them in court if necessary?

Makes you wonder if 10 have a dedicated classification officer for the show, like they did for their later seasons following the controversies or someone from the production company at least who has been trained with the regulatory frameworks and potential legal issue flags, who is sitting alongside the directors in the control room to make the calls?

Unless the directors were just basically told what to quickly edit out or are using common sense, but you’d like to think there’s more of a professional or expertise side to this.

Let’s just say if there were, a lot more material (at least so far) would have been left in.

Now Triple B is saying that censorship inadvertently gives favor to certain HMs. Not about what they say, but who the feed decides to cut to.

Wouldn’t be surprised if, not just a classifier, but also somebody from Paramount/10’s legal team is carefully monitoring daily production to mitigate risk of legalities, either on-site on the Gold Coast or back at Pyrmont.

Though I still feel this isn’t the ‘grand scale’ nor water-cooler juggernaut that it was 20 years ago and therefore the impact and risks with the show aren’t as great.

Confirmed on the livestream that housemates can increase the prize money the winner gets through completing tasks successfully.

Knoxy TVT confirmed this (I did read quite a bit of press in the lead-up but must’ve missed this from the Banijay EP), RE: live stream content

And as a side note, not sure his second last sentence quip was really necessary or appropriate, but anyway.

Yep, 10 will not want the show overshadowed for defamation (youd think theyd be sicknof court now), but im sure this is something I read 20 years ago about why E4 streaming used to be on delay in UK

Colin is hilarious! Gen Z will love him. “Bro, bro, bro” :joy:

We almost just saw the reason for the moderation thanks to Holly.

Omg what happened

Holly was talking about a sports person named Josh who apparently had some trouble with a woman in the US.

I enjoyed listening to the ride operator

That’s a case I’m aware of. Surely there wasn’t any judgment being thrown out, was it?

(No, I wasn’t watching)

All we got is that Holly grew up with him (called him a Weet-Bix kid) and would defend him 100%.

5-city ratings.

BB did best in Melbourne and Brisbane where it was the number one reality show in both markets.

Could you imagine not being number one in the very location you filmed?

I bet on a typical GC street right now, at least five BB billboards or banners are up.

Could be, I saw the same Hisense commercial twice during last night’s premiere.

I’m somewhat surprised. I actually thought Melbourne could be the poorest market, proportionally. I felt it hadn’t had a much buzz as say Queensland or Sydney and given how strong MKR has been doing in Melbourne, as well as existing Golden Bachelor. And the lack-there-of Victorians (so far) in this BB.

So they’d be happy with that. But I guess not that surprising when you think about it, ATV is a heritage for the network and Melburnians have always been really loyal to the station, including many iconic programming from there.
