They could air live streaming on both platforms with different tiers, e.g.:
10play: 2 live streams, 30 sec ad break every 5 mins
Paramount+: 4 live streams, ad free

Exactly. Itās puzzling and odd that people seem to think that contractual prohibitions/clauses are null and void because it applies to a network they hate in Seven (letās call a spade a spade here).
Sounds to me like 10 did nothing wrong here and it was Fremantle who overstepped. Even if 10 came to them with the offer they should have said sorry we canāt talk until whatever the date is.
Actually it is Banijay which is the rights holder of Big Brother. Its subsidiary Endemol Shine produces the Australian version.
Oh sorry then yeah Endemol was the naughty one.
I donāt understand why they keep resurrecting this show. I can only assume itās purely to satisfy local content requirements
Normally Iād agree but I think Ten could have a really big hit on the hands if they do everything theyāre saying theyāre going to do.
Launch night will crack 1mil maybe more, but the rest of the series will probably sit around the 400-500k mark or sit similar or worse than Iām a Celeb
Itāll be the social engagement though that they are really after.
We didnāt have social media or online streaming back when it was Live Live Live.
Now viewers will be able to watch on 10Play on multiple devices, they can interact on TikTok, do Instagram stories etc
There is so much potential these days.
It surely canāt do any worse than Sevenās version, especially given this one will be live and have viewer interaction
I suspect the BVOD number will be a higher-than usual proportion of viewing as well. A bit like MAFS gets an extra 25-30% boost. Viewers who donāt usually watch FTA and no longer have an antenna etc.
I think it holds a special place in the heart of many programmers worldwide. It was an absolute smash hit in its glory days. It fills a lot of hours and was the genesis of stripped programming for reality in a way that we are still seeing the impacts of today.
Saying that, it remains to be seen how much the format still has legs in 2025 when we are used to much more contrived reality / drama etc.
That is a very good point.
Exactly right. It airs a lot of hours across the week. For six nights a week, compared to other reality shows where its between one and up to five nights a week.
Will see how it goes in 2025 with it being live, and returning to its former glory.
Just hope that theyāll show normal conversations from the house, rather than āgame playā of whoāll theyād be voting out (Survivor style), or useless challenges.
Already looking forward to Sandra Sully reading the news montage on finale night.
WW3 or a new virus?
That is one of the parts I remember best about Big Brother when I was younger. I also thought it was cool how during the 2005-2008 era of Ten News, they would report about the winner during News Updates.
I think itās cool how āIām A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Hereā still continues that tradition.
And Friday Night Live Games was my absolute jam and obsession, a huge part of my early childhood growing up.
10 are going to throw everything they can at this reboot and to evoke an old school BB feel but I think it will be tough to fully recapture the magic of those early seasons.
People didnāt like the āSurvivor in a houseā angle that 7 went for but if the ITV UK Reboot is how they structure this season then I could easily see it matching what Iām a Celeb or Survivor get in terms of audience.
Considering the failures or dwindling audiences for 10ās previous formats like The Bachelor/ette/paradise, The Masked Singer, Hunted, Gladiators, success for 10 probably looks like an increase in Paramount + and TenPlay viewers, 500k-600k viewers on overnights.
It does seem like Iām A Celeb AU is produced in a way that borrows a lot from that UK style of BB and Endemol will probably try to emulate that here. Hopefully casting people who have interesting stories and life experiences and arenāt wholly focused on image.
The problem will always be that anyone who goes on these shows now has some expectation they will gain an audience from it and will act accordingly and itās castings job to try to mitigate that and not encourage it otherwise you get vacuous tryhards who play for the cameras.
UK version returning
Mel Tracina made comments about the new season at the red carpet of Australian Commercial Radio Awards on Saturday.
āThis is so huge to me. Itās also just the fans that love it, itās a juggernaut of a show,ā she added.
āIt means so much to so many Australians, so I feel the pressure of doing the best job that I can.ā
