Maybe I’m thinking of The Voice.
To be honest we don’t know the ins and outs of the contract but for all we know it could be said if there isn’t a series in production in 2025 they forfeit the halt clause? It seems odd that the announcement would happen if there wasn’t a reason around it…
Seven could be doing this more for a PR stunt than anything. Endemol Shine may be well within their rights for all we know.
2013 winner Tim Dormer is going on a rampage on Twitter. Taking shots at his former housemates, channels 7, 9 and 10 and is even trying to drag Gretel into it. For many different reasons
Does not look like he’s in a mentally healthy state of mind.
He claims he’s worked for 10 for 8 years.
What’s he been doing?
I wouldn’t even call what seven shown Big Brother so whats the issue?
It looks like the Ch10 Big Brother promo reel has been removed from the official Big Brother Instagram page. It’s still on the Channel 10 account.
The ‘dog in the manger channel’ 7! “We don’t want, can’t do it properly but no one else can have it either or we’ll take our ball and go home”. Bunch of losers with the rusted on viewers!
Probably jealous that the 10 version so far has seemed to have gotten more hype with it being live and all, plus having a likeable host.
They probably think it will rate higher than anything they have, especially if they end up having to move stuff earlier in the year to fill hole created by any duds of their own, so they will do anything they can to stall production.
However, if the clause part is true, bit unprofessional of someone at Edmond Shine or 10 to not double check everything before making the announcement.
Surely you’ve used that enough now for it to be your official slogan?
I did notice the social pages for 10 swapped their profile picture from the eye logo to 10 again… could be a coincidence… not sure
Could be, given than now it’s been a few day’s since upfront the hype has likely died down for now until whenever they actually get this to air.
Would be interesting to know how 10 can even afford to run the old format
I was there today, and my brother asked when they were moving. They said it would most likely be the middle of next year.
I agree, though, that space would make a great house.
It’s a shame Dreamworld isn’t available.
Don’t be surprise if they force viewers who want a live feed to head to paramount to recoup some dollars back and build up Paramount.
10’s bottom line would be helped by not having to service massive sporting contracts.
And getting rid of The Masked Singer and Tje Bachelor.
They were massive cost and gave little return. If they do Big Brother right like the original, as has been said, 10 could be on to a winner. It’s just a shame they don’t have any major sports rights.
Do you have a problem with me being honest?
Rod Prosser (Paramount ANZ’s Chief Sales Officer) was on the excellent unmade podcast this week and mentioned in passing that BB streaming will be on 10 play.
there was no mention of paid streams (but i would not be shocked if there was a paid tier or a set of premium streams on paramount plus)
Maybe it was a calculated risk - advertise it at upfront to hype up the network and ad sales, and take whatever legal action may happen from 7 on the chin
