There is no money in that late on a multichannel. It’s not feasible.
No, I meant earlier on a multichannel or later if it has to be on the main channel.
Isn’t the US version the same as Aus? With the only differences being that US version is live & the winner is not chosen by the public (like survivor)
They have live streams and their format is more straight forward and not convuluted like 7’s.
Being shot at the Horden Pavilion in Sydney if anyone was curious.
I would have the daily show on a multichannel or 7plus, and weekly eviction on main channel.
How good is the live aspect of tonight’s show… this is what BB has missed over resent years.
The live aspect of this is great.
How awkwardly funny was Sonia’s interview with Josh who said he was approached by producers to be on the show. This is what live TV brings. Would have been edited out otherwise.
Why do they say that the winner will be the ‘greatest of all time’? Throughout the show I assumed it was referring to if a previous winner wins again this year, but clearly that’s not the case because two of the final three are newbies.
Yes I agree. I like the spontaneity of the “live” feel. Much more engaging and exciting. I watched the first couple of episodes and nothing else until tonight.
I agree that a daily show on a multichannel, live streaming on 7+ at other times, and a live weekly show/late night nightly show could work.
There was even a mention of ‘coming from channel 10’ or something too
Australia decides: Reggie wins Big Brother 2022
Aussie battler makes history by winning Big Brother twice
Australia’s most celebrated housemate and 2003 winner, Reggie Bird, is the winner of Big Brother 2022 after defeating Taras Hrubyj-Piper and Johnson Ashak in a public vote during the nail-biting live Grand Final.
The 48-year-old mother of two from Queensland walks away with $250,000 and the glorious title of greatest housemate of all time, becoming the first ever housemate to win Big Brother twice anywhere in the world.
Celebrating the win, an emotional Reggie said: “I can’t believe this. Thank you to everyone who voted for me.”
Reggie was joined onstage by her kids Mia and Lucas, and sister Anita at tonight’s Grand Final in Sydney, hosted by Sonia Kruger.
When asked what she’ll do with the prize money, Reggie said: “I’m gonna use that money to put a roof over our heads.”
Runners-up Taras and Johnson were also joined by their loved ones at the live event, which saw this year’s 21 housemates – including Big Brother royalty Dave, Drew, Estelle, Layla, Tim, Trevor and Tully – reunited on stage for the first time since leaving the house.
Taras, Reggie and Johnson survived 62 days in the Big Brother house, evicting 18 housemates before them to become the final three.
Throughout the season Reggie won one group challenge, was nominated twice for eviction and received a second chance in Big Brother’s Secret Arcade.
Big Brother is produced by Endemol Shine Australia for the Seven Network.
Reggie is the fifth person in the world to win twice
Of the social media posts I saw earlier tonight, a majority was happy about Reggie’s victory, although there were also complaints of a rigged result and some people said that Taras should have won.
Why? Just because he’s good at challenges doesn’t mean he should win.
I got a different watermark for this show on 7Plus on the Apple TV . A 7 with a bunch of lines underneath (Olympic one? ) … tried it on another show and it has the usual 7 + one.
Wow finally a live finale that had no COVID restrictions.
I wish we had live evictions with an audience like that .
Edited to add : Will be interesting to see if the live aspect makes any difference to the ratings .
Saw this comment on TV Tonight not sure if true or just rumour
Tim has stated on his podcast that the show is coming backing and is likely to involve old BB housemates again. They are currently in the middle of doing minor renovations on the house. He also alluded that he will be involved again in some capacity, possibly in a BB after show like they had with Love Island last season.
So their solution to address the drop is the same old from this year
Just axe the thing already. Finish on a ‘high’ of sorts.
The other four are:
Jill Liv Neilsen (Big Brother Denmark season 1 and Big Brother Denmark Reality All-Stars)
Pepe Herrero (Gran Hermano season 7 and Gran Hermano: El Reencuentro season 1) - Gran Hermano is the Spanish name for Big Brother
Brian Dowling (Big Brother UK season 2 and Ultimate Big Brother)
Gino Tashev (VIP Brother Bulgaria season 7 and Big Brother Bulgaria All-Stars season 5)
