But see this is the problem with Australian networks now, they don’t take risks! Networks used to do it all the time in years past. The market has changed sure, but there is never going to be a winning format if you don’t try new things. I get everything has to have a monetary return, but the business overall fails when you play it safe and don’t innovate or try things.
With BB the main aspect is the show needs to be current and turned around in 24 hours like past. Sure the eviction shows will never be the rock concert it once was, but they could get creative. Setup a outdoor studio like they have done in some European countries, at the show grounds near the house and run the show in a warmer part of the year to mitigate bad weather.
It doesn’t take much to be creative but also be within a budget. If they dropped the bloody physical challenges it would also save some $$
Tim’s mission to break the power couple fails again
Tonight on Big Brother , the panic room reached a new level of intensity when Tim and Lulu failed dismally.
After their poor result, Big Brother divided the housemates in groups of three, forcing each group to share a single special-made t-shirt.
Dave struggled to come to terms with being nominated by Tim, and apologised for throwing him under the bus when Tully caught wind of their plan to evict her.
Despite rumours about Drew’s secret pact with Joel, an unfazed Sam threw a special birthday surprise for her beau.
Dave overcame his fears to win safety from eviction in the second chance challenge, even though the newbies placed a target on his back.
Later, Tim’s plan to take out Sam went into overdrive, pushing her over the edge as she lashed out at close ally Gabbie for her crush on Drew.
At the eviction ceremony, Tim went in for the kill, but Sam made a miraculous escape and Lulu became the seventh housemate to get evicted.
Next Week on Big Brother : hackers break through Big Brother’s Mainframe and take control of the house. In a shocking snap eviction, alliances will be shattered.
Aaaah, the good old days of BB when housemates were not allowed to talk about nominations. These days, that’s all they seem to talk about (well, the only thing Seven are showing us). Get’s quite repetitive and boring.
All’s fair in love and war Tim finally splits the lovebirds
Tonight on Big Brother, the housemates woke up to an unwelcome surprise, with hackers taking complete control of the house.
While wreaking havoc and taking away the food supplies, the hackers gave Tim a secret mission to complete with a housemate of his choice. After Tim and Aleisha successfully completed the mission, they were rewarded with KFC for lunch and video recording of Drew and Joel’s secret pact.
Tim exposed Drew’s secret dealings to his alliance, confirming Estelle’s worst fears.
At night, the hackers treated the housemates to a special dinner in return of answers to some really awkward questions. Later, Estelle was voted as the new Head of House.
Then, when Jules took out the nominations challenge, she helped out Estelle by nominating Drew for eviction along with Sam and Aleisha. While the royalty wanted Drew gone, mastermind Tim turned the tables to keep his bestie in the game.
During the eviction ceremony, Tim stuck to his guns, saving Drew and splitting up the lovebirds once and for all by sending Sam home.
“I feel happy that Drew’s in there because honestly the thought of him leaving and me staying was getting the better of me. I’ll miss him, but I hope that he does what I was going to do: take down the ultimate player of the game, Tim”, Sam said.
Tomorrow on Big Brother: the hackers push the housemates to their limits. An explosive blow-up has the original housemates on the verge of collapse.
Tonight on Big Brother, the hackers infiltrated the system again, targeting the week’s shopping budget.
To combat the infiltration, Big Brother appointed the housemates as security guards, but the hackers were quick thieves and the housemates were left with a measly shopping budget of $92.60.
With Drew still in the game, Estelle had a bone to pick with Tim for calling a truce with Drew, who was actively working against the OGs.
After Drew stole some Head of House treats, he was summoned to the diary room along with Head of House Estelle. As punishment, Big Brother confiscated the treats and Drew was banished to the garden until further notice, leading to a blow-up between Tim and Estelle.
Drew did not regret his actions, worrying Reggie and Dave that the newbies would take advantage of the situation. After realising the impact it might have on their alliance, Tim and Estelle let go of their differences.
In the nominations challenge, the housemates worked in pairs again. Each pair was assigned eight cylinders and a tipsy table that they had to hold steady using a rope. Brenton and Taras won the challenge, as well as safety from eviction.
Later, queen Reggie exposed the weak link in the OG alliance: Gabbie, rallying the troops to take her down.
In a game-changing twist, not three but four housemates were up for nomination. When the nominees were announced, Head of House Estelle saved fellow OG Tully and put the newbies’ leader Aleisha on the chopping block; leaving her in a fight for her life against fellow nominees Jaycee, Gabbie and Drew.
Tomorrow on Big Brother: In a shocking snap eviction, alliances will be shattered, hearts will be broken and the house will be completely torn apart.
Well the ad gave that away who goes… My thoughts. Drew in a snap but its fake cause the hackers somehow control it. I feel like the whole hackers thing was to save Drew to begin with but Sam went instead and they couldn’t save her twice or it would be unfair so they dragged the hackers thing on longer.
This tweet from Tim last night is disgusting. I guess we can say he doesn’t make the final 3 with him tweeting this. Everyone in the comments has turned against him
Alliances shattered as the Big Brother house is torn apart
Tonight on Big Brother , the housemates lost their fourth Panic Room task in a row and faced their worst punishment to date: a snap eviction.
Estelle led the charge to send her arch nemesis Drew packing, but little did she know, the hackers had other plans: hiding him in Big Brother ’s mainframe.
In the second chance challenge, Jaycee held his nerve to win safety from eviction, leaving Aleisha and Gabbie in the firing line.
In a shocking turn of events, mastermind Tim did a deal with enemies Aleisha and Johnson to break away from the OG alliance and vote Gabbie out.
Later, during a dramatic eviction ceremony, Tim and Estelle fired up at each other. When the vote was tied, Estelle used her Head of House power to evict Aleisha.
The hackers struck again and Aleisha was sent to the Mainframe to join Drew, unbeknownst to the remaining housemates.
Next week on Big Brother : The game gets even more twisted, pushing Tim and Brenton over the edge, while Aleisha and Drew try desperately to escape Big Brother’s mainframe.
Just caught up with the week’s episodes in which two intruders (Brenton and Jules) entered the house and Lulu was evicted. I noticed that some of the housemates’ narrations in the diary room were edited together, such as Tim’s comments when the head of house nomination was taking place. If you listen closely you can hear the difference in his tone.
I also notice that the week’s three episodes covered the housemates’ activities over seven days, so inevitably one day was skipped during the broadcast. Was that day a rest day in which housemates were not given any tasks?
Tonight on Big Brother , Tim and Estelle’s frosty relationship exposed cracks in the OG alliance, while Dave and Reggie tried hard to keep their own alliance together.
As Drew and Aleisha were planning their revenge in the mainframe, Big Brother revealed their fate would depend on three housemates succumbing to temptations in the house task.
Following Johnson, Reggie and Tim giving in to temptation, Drew and Aleisha made a return that shocked the house and shifted the balance of power toward the newbies.
During the Head of House vote, Tim’s open betrayal of his alliance led to Johnson being crowned the new Head of House.
In a gruelling nominations challenge, the housemates hung on to slanted ramps, gripping handles at the top while the angle of the ramps slowly got steeper. Intruder Brenton held on to secure the win, giving him the power to execute his cut-throat plan.
Brenton made one of the biggest moves in the game by nominating three iconic Big Brother royalty: Dave, Estelle and Reggie.
With emotions running high at the eviction ceremony, the housemates said goodbye to one of the most beloved players, Dave, leaving the OGs shell shocked.
“It was the greatest honour to sit in those three seats with two people that I adore, love and respect. I love being an OG, there is something about it that makes you so proud yet so connected and such a big part of history in Australia”, Dave said.
Tomorrow night on Big Brother : Temptation Week hits new heights testing the housemates like never before, and time is running out on Brenton and Tim as Big Brother dials up the mayhem.
According to Tully on Twitter, she found 3 gold ones, put 1 in the house, gave 1 to Reggie & put the 3rd one in the key and got cabbage as her personal reward
