Between Two Worlds

It will be a three-way drama battle (Vera v Between Two Worlds v FBI). There is also 60 Minutes.

Depending how long Ninja Warrior is scheduled for that could also clash.

Ninja Warrior runs longer than Farmer Wants a …

You can’t completely avoid dramas clashing but it’s more important that it doesn’t clash with other Australian dramas. I don’t see Vera and FBI as competition really. I’d be more concerned about a huge show like Ninja Warrior being up against it.

Should have launched while BB was on.

Cate Walford’s (Hermione Norris) marriage to vicious business tycoon husband Phillip Walford (Philip Quast) is on the rocks and she is trapped in a tangled web of lies and manipulation.

But through a shocking twist of fate, this dark and ruthless world collides with the seemingly disparate and disconnected, warm and loving world of widow Sophia Grey (Sara Wiseman) and her two children. Soon, destructive secrets are unearthed proving nothing is quite as it first may appear.

BETWEEN TWO WORLDS is an intense, high concept melodrama about two very different worlds, thrown together by death and a sacrifice in one and the chance for a new life in the other. These two worlds will never be the same again, as they finally merge and become one.

EPISODE 1

Phillip Walford, a harsh and extremely wealthy businessman, fights to dominate his family as he faces his mortality. Aspiring footballer Danny Grey’s life is changed by a health crisis, forcing his mother Sophia to make a terrible decision which forms a connection between the Walford and Grey worlds.

EPISODE 2

While Phillip recovers in hospital, Cate makes the most of his absence by escalating her affair with Julian Lee. Bart’s passion-driven relationship with Georgia dominates his life. Sophia is shocked to discover her son was selling drugs, leading her to make a controversial decision.

EPISODE 3

Phillip, puzzled by changes to his character, orders Sandra to find out the name of his donor. Escaping the mounting tensions off the back of her interview, Sophia and Bella get away to a beach shack, where David proposes to her. In their absence, Martina attempts suicide.

EPISODE 4

After being relentlessly badgered by Phillip, Sandra works with Cate to manipulate him. Georgia schemes with ex-mercenary Mikael Stein, who is fascinated by her toxic amorality. Sophia finds affection and relief from the darkness of the past months when she dines out with David.

EPISODE 5

Phillip, believing his donor is Danny Grey, creates a charitable foundation to gain proximity to Sophia. The Walford and Grey worlds finally collide. Georgia and Mikael choose the night of the launch for setting her revenge against Bishop Welles in motion.

Others might have a different opinion but I was kind of wishing Seven would take a risk with this drama and air this against Ninja Warrior at 7pm. Ninja is not the killer that it used to be and this drama has a lot of potential to do extremely well on its own and it might actually help Seven with their Sunday night ratings.

Airing behind something like Farmer wants a Wife on the other hand, I’m not so confident about it. Secret Bridesmaid’s Business aired behind a fairly successful show in Ladies Night and it failed to fire. I’m not even sure if Farmer would do well at all and it will most likely hurt the ratings for this show.

This drama does interest me. Big hopes from Seven with them airing it on Sundays at 8.30pm. Just hope that it actually starts on time, and not have the reality-show prior to it run overtime.

Say it isn’t so. Bevan also says he hopes the drama will get a second season.

I haven’t watched anything on Seven for the longest time, like literally nothing - but the promos for this look good - I will be tuning in on Sunday. I hope it performs well - Aussie drama needs a shot in the arm.

Hopefully the show gets a season 2.

A large portion of Season 1 was filmed on location here;

Maybe a fan will snap it up

Love the below quote from the story (check out the link above for full story):

TV Tonight has given it 4 stars. Hopefully it delivers for Seven who sorely needs a good drama back on their slate.

It’s a bit slow. Getting easily distracted.

Don’t know any of the actors except Marny Kennedy.

That’s a good thing.
