Pretty impressive figures for the Bert Tribute last night.
Gives more reason in my opinion that a short series should be made about Bert’s career especially the earlier days (Don lane Etc). Build it out of clips of the best of segments and some more stories from people who worked with him. I think there is an audience for it.

SBS will screen a repeat of Bert Newton’s episode of Who Do You Think You Are? at 7.30pm tonight as a tribute to the iconic entertainer. It was part of season 11 of the show which aired last year.

Watching to me it looked like it might have been made some time ago prior to the move from the old TCN studios as the background in some of the interviews looked like the old studios particularly some of the Shots with tracy but could be wrong.
I’m pretty sure Hamish was sitting in the WWOS set with the lights off except for the blue little screens.

Nine already have a show similar to that. I airs late on Saturday nights usually.
It’s Australia’s Top Ten of Everything. It features segments from Nine’s library of tonight and interview type shows and features, Don Lane, Bert, Ray Martin, Logies speeches etc.
Next episode features Bert. It’s at 1am Sunday morning (late Saturday).

The ratings for last night’s “Bert Newton: Let Me Entertain You” Special rated very well. Understandably, they are airing it again on Saturday night at 7.30pm.
As for the show Australia’s Top Ten Of Everything, it is a cheaply made show that airs some Saturday nights post midnight (aka Sunday) and the lists are heavily Channel Nine based.

There were multiple segments across the show - 5 I think. The first was the news report from Sunday; there were two interviews, one with John Foreman and the second with Rhonda Burchmore. The final segment was a look back to 2017 GMA reunion with Denise Drysdale on the phone.

Some good stuff there.
Was 1993 the last year 10 host broadcasted the logies before it stayed permanently on 9.
I enjoyed the rotational system that use to happen.
