That means this year’s International Champions Cup will be shown live on both BeIN Sports and SBS.

The Sydney FC friendly doesn’t have a FTA broadcaster at this stage

Western Sydney Wanderers vs Leeds United friendly will be also live on beIN Sports across connected devices and around the world. Surprised no FTA broadcaster picked up the rights after Channel 7 purchased rights for the two Manchester United friendlies in Perth.

Will be interesting to see whether beIN will produce their own coverage of the match or if they’ll just simply show the world feed

A second tier English side against an Aussie side doesn’t exactly scream ratings success

2nd tier yes, but with a fanbase that only the biggest Premier League clubs can top in England. The term is “Sleeping Giant”.

Unfortunately it’s been asleep for quite some time :stuck_out_tongue: and their manager is a nutcase. Too niche for Aussie FTA.

Name a manager that ISN’T a nutcase!

bein showing the PSL

BeIN is not known for its cricket coverage

Its predecessor Setanta did show the odd cricket tour and Asia Cup.

Good to see cricket on beinsports. Could be a sign that they might go for rights to some Australian cricket tours.

It’s good to see BeIN expanding their sports portfolio to beyond football.
