I read through next week’s schedule inside TV Week today and could not find any Winter Paralympics coverage on 7mate (live or highlights).

More than 15% of the world’s population live with a disability and tonight we celebrate their athletic achievement with the Opening Ceremony of the 13th Paralympic Winter Games live from Beijing.
The first Paralympic Winter Games were held in 1976, where the total number of athletes was less than 200 representing 16 countries.
Tonight, more than 700 will be in Beijing for the 13th edition of the Games, including a nine-strong Australian team comprising seven athletes and two sight guides.

No random commercials pop up during the Paralympics Winter Opening Ceremony - unlike the Winter Olympic Games a few weeks ago?

The Closing Ceremony abruptly finished at 12.22am - with Joh Griggs and another lady (whose name i didn’t catch - sorry) saying thank you for watching. And that was it.

Looks like Seven stuffed that up big time. The ceremony hadn’t finished. The next program started but then abruptly cut back to the Paralympics Opening that is still going.
In Brisbane on 7Mate it went to a movie, then came back with a 7 watermark that then changed to a 7Mate watermark. In Sydney/Melbourne, after the closer there were promos then a switch to regular programming that abruptly cut back to Beijing.

It’s back! The nature of live programming is unpredictable
A big stuff up from Seven! I had switched off when they said goodnight and the next show started. I’ve just switched back on, thankfully to this forum 
“EDIT”: The cauldron has been lit. Jess and Joh said goodnight at 12.35am. Is this the proper goodnight now? lol.

What a stuff-up by Seven. It needs to plan better for the closing ceremony broadcast on March 20.
