Beijing Winter Olympics Coverage

Indigenous language feeds available for the ice hockey final on CBC in Canada. Australia should do the same for our footy codes

Yes and no. We have too many dialects for this to be effective.

A nice looking set from CBC

They have a banger of a theme tune too long used for their Olympic coverage.

I really don’t understand why they do it, but I think is OK. You have a commercial break, but want to have a peek on the action, so this is what happens.

Todd McKenney on the final episode of The Summer Chill? What a coincidence. Will he talk about DWTS that premiers the following night…?

OBS logo updated

Already updated since Tokyo 2020, but not reflected on-air until this year’s Games. It had been already used at official OBS collateral and signage in the IBC at Tokyo, and is part of an updated brand architecture for the IOC. Given the one-year delay, and with graphics (maybe) already done, it made little sense to update Tokyo’s title card, but this time is the perfect way to do it.

Should be the Opening Ceremony

Think that’ll be the case.

During Thursday & Friday’s coverage, Jo Griggs (during her presenting stint) outlined Seven’s coverage of the Winter Paralympics. While every sport will be streamed live on 7Plus, the TV coverage will encompass a preview show (which TV Cynic has highlighted), live coverage of the Opening Ceremony and highlight shows on 7mate.
