Irrelevant, but did Seven give that a run somewhere this year? I don’t think they did. Used to be a regular around their Winter Olympics the years they had rights, pretty sure they did before Pyeongchang. I did notice them airing Eddie the Eagle a couple of weeks ago though.

Disney+ might have exclusive rights now.

Only a matter of time surely until we have a Steven Bradbury movie.

There is a movie under development with Basil to star as himself calling the iconic race

I’m surprised it hasn’t happened already. We’ve had other sporting triumphs made into movies quicker (like Michelle Payne’s 2015 Melbourne Cup win, which was turned into a film in 2019 - Ride Like A Girl), among others. I cannot wait until the Steven Bradbury movie finally gets released.

On the telecast last night, when introducing Georgie Parker, Basil accidently called her Georgie Gardner. Oops.

Do we know sevens plans for the Paralympics? Hope it better than 2018 when they only aired a short highlights package and no coverage of the Ceremonies

Nah won’t be much. Maybe a few hours of compilations (similar to current prime-time show) on 7two each evening.

That’s so disappointing. What about the ceremonies?

The Winter Paralympics begin on Friday 4 March. Assuming the Opening Ceremony is on a late airing like The Winter Olympics a week+ ago? I hope it airs here, even if its on 7two.

Surely a panel type highlights show can air? Maybe an “afternoon edition” on 7two, and a late airing on Seven, before or after The Latest?

They haven’t announced that yet.

20 years to the day since Bradbury’s famous “last man standing” gold medal which is now in Australian folklore. Can’t wait for his commentary tonight in the same sport he won gold at SLC in 2002
