More likely Jane Hill. Fiona doesnt seem to present much, often once a week. She also hosts Question Time on a Thursday night.
Jane almost got the chop this year and I donât know how often she does the six or ten. My pick is Sophie Raworth.
Yes, but if they came to her and said hereâs a new job, itâs our highest paid and most senior news position, I am sure sheâd consider making it work.
Itâs quite common for people to move up the ranks in their job and as a result leave other positions/responsibilities.
Iâve always felt Clive Myrie wouldâve been next in line after Huw
Feels like Clive Myrie might be Huwâs replacement after all of this. I see him fill in more often than others.
I guess others, like Fiona, have other things on the go at the moment.
But I think in terms of reputation and experience, sheâd be the best person for the top job.
The BBC World Service today (18 July) announces the launch of a new daily news podcast primarily aimed at 16 to 24 year olds across the globe. The podcast, titled What in the World, launches on 31 July. The podcast will be available daily, Mondays to Fridays, and each episode will ask âWhat in the world is going on?â
And the old BBC Gill Sans logo lives on⌠what in the world indeed.
Not sure if the World Service has officially rebranded yet.
Speaking of things that makes people ask âWhat in the world?â:
