The Champions seasons in the US and Britain usually had contestants from overseas versions as well. It’s a bit of a gimmick in all honesty when we had contestants on our version this year that had already competed on overseas versions, some multiple times.
I would be surprised if Nicole Sherzinger returned. She has literally just filmed 3 shows back to back (AGT, then The Masked Singer US and is now on the UK celeb X Factor until the end of the year). Plus she plans on reviving the Pussycat Dolls next year. Surely AGT isn’t one of her top priorities.

It would depend on the pay. Surely she was the highest paid judge in the last season. I also wonder how tax works in the US. Is it better for people to do overseas shows in regards to tax claims?

proper audition call now must signal it will be on air and wrapped up pre-olympics. so perhaps an earlier start around mid May 2020.

Highly doubt that was the original plan for Sonia. I haven’t seen Sonia the same way since she became a xenophobe, and I’m not planning on watching AGT either way. So I’m ok with this.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this is a last minute change to what she would be hosting.
Ricki Lee was quite good, a shame if she has been pushed aside.

Lucy Durack is touring Australia with Shrek, the musical next year so she probably won’t be available for AGT.

Thought they were just doing a Champions edition next year, but the contestant call suggests otherwise. A better fit here for Kruger than Big Brother, if TVBlackbox is to be believed that is.

I hope Sonia would not be replacing Ricki Lee. Ricki was one of the few things good about the show this year. It was refreshing to see someone different in a hosting role.
So did I but it seems there must be both. I guess if they pre-record the seasons like they did this year, it gets better bang for back to film both back to back. But I really hope they learn from this year and go back to live finals and viewer votes for the finals. That aspect of the show missing really put me off as the judges favourites simply made it to the end.
