Australian Survivor

Where did you read that? I thought that they needed 1 more non-elimination episode somewhere to make the 26 episode count (assuming the finale starts with 3 people). That is unless episode 26 does count as the reunion.

Episode descriptions:

Mon 2 Oct 7:30pm - 8:30pm

With alliances crumbling and paranoia setting in, all six castaways are determined to win individual immunity. In an explosive Tribal Council, one contestant holds the power, but who will they choose?

Tue 3 Oct 7:30pm - 8:30pm

After seven weeks on the island of Samoa, only five contestants remain in the race towards winning $500,000 in prize money. Who will become the next member of the Jury?

Well thatā€™s good then. I was fearing another twist to stretch out an extra episode but looks like that extra episode is the reunion.

I didnā€™t see that, but when I read this I thought for sure that meant he wouldnā€™t be voted out. Ten is not subtle enough to show votes in a promo for someone who does get voted out. Or so I thought, so it was a fantastic surprise when I watched it today.

I fast-fowarded through it.
ā€¦

I didnā€™t think the editing gave away Henryā€™s elimination. He was always telling the camera how well heā€™s playing and how heā€™s orchestrating everything. I didnā€™t see anything different this time and expected Pete to go.

I liked Ziggy before that stupid, stupid move with the super idol. What a dumb reason to use it. Now I want her out.

What do you mean? You can almost always predict who is going for Tenā€™s promos. I was certain Henry was going before the ep.

The whole episode was showing people scheming to get Henry out and every Henry scene was him saying theres no chance of him going. The vote was never going to go any other way and they gave us everything to be sure that there would be no chance of Henry playing an Idol.

As I said, I didnā€™t watch the promo. I never watch the promos because they just contain spoilers. You should all avoid them. Why do you keep watching them if they always spoil it for you? I was responding to the post that said everyone was voting for Henry. Normally - based on the heavy-handed misdirection reality shows normally use - whoever the promo suggests will be eliminated, isnā€™t. But this time seemed to be an exception.

I disagree about the editing. Henry was always supremely confident, always mouthing off about how heā€™s running everything, and the fact he was targeted was no surprise. It didnā€™t mean heā€™d go out.

The finale and reunion have been scheduled for Tuesday October 10 from 7.30pm, according to the Herald Sun.

The writing was on the wall for that vote. Luke didnā€™t like Tessa having power last episode and didnā€™t seem keen on inviting her into the alliance and as soon as Luke opened his mouth slating Tessa in the first minutes the outcome was a cert.

I really liked Tessa, without a doubt she was my last favourite standing but Iā€™m not shocked or too disappointed sheā€™s gone. Sadly her errors started to wrack up and when she turned into Captain Ahab determined to catch her whale it was the last paper cut needed to finish her off. I wish she could have put her revenge to one side and actually considered Tara & Lockyā€™s proposal which was a great option as Sarah is a much bigger threat than Locky at the moment. Say what you want about Tara & Locky but for the most part they can bury the hatchet and work with former foes in order to advance their game. Tessa couldnā€™t which surprised me a little because she didnā€™t peg herself as an emotional voter and that was certainly not the image she tried to portray earlier.

Tessaā€™s worst attribute was a failure to read people which is probably why she languished on the bottom so long scraping to get into a power position. I also question her tactics of her and Peterā€™s vote (the only vote she can rely on) to be split. They should have voted together to at least ensure a tie. I also donā€™t get why she didnā€™t get the threat of the Asanga four. She knew they were tight so why she let her revenge cloud her judgement so much was appalling. I mean I could get why Kat last year did what she did, but I expected more from Tessa because she was a more strategic player capable of going from the bottom to the top.

Ziggy flipping back the majority should have been a shock to know one. I canā€™t stand her but am slightly impressed by her gameplay. On the surface it looks like flip flopping but sheā€™s deliberately laying low and presenting herself as just a vote, hoping they will ignore her and kill each other by going after the strategic threats allowing her to keep winning immunities and being the threat they all forgot about. At this point I wouldnā€™t be shocked to see Ziggy in the finale.

Sarah made yet another dumb move. This game is really hers to lose. Latching onto Luke & Jericho was so dumb. Sheā€™s now alienated her closest ally, destroyed yet another alliance on a whim and given Luke & Jericho even more of a resume at the expense of her own. She is cunning but whenever sheā€™s around Luke & Jericho her game turns to shit. It also highlights how much of a positive influence Michelle is on her. She also loses if itā€™s just out of her, Jericho & Luke.

I couldnā€™t believe the gall of Luke & Jericho to call Tessa cocky. This, this coming from the biggest smug arseholes still playing the game. From the endless King of Asaga BS to talk of MY army and battle. Every confessional is them pretty much patting themselves on the back with copious amounts of ego, arrogance and delusion. Yes they can walk the walk, but itā€™s in such an obnoxious way repeated constantly that I donā€™t care and hate them beyond belief. I also didnā€™t like that Luke dictated who Tessa could talk to. Heā€™s clearly threatened by women and heā€™s shown a lot of traits of being a misogynist but most people are just fooled by his 16 year old ADHD clown performance.

I hope Michelle wreaks some vengeance next episode.

Argh these contestants are doing my head in. There was no smart strategy in play last night except people like Luke and his ego taking charge. Jericho canā€™t make a decision for himself in this game. He Is Lukeā€™s little rat that will just do what he is told. Most of Lukeā€™s moves make no sense. They had the perfect opportunity to rid of Locky, one of the biggest physical threats and someone who could win thisā€¦ but decided to keep him. I thought better of Sarah too, she should have taken charge and got rid of Locky.

I just canā€™t believe how all over the place that vote was and 4 people getting 2 votes just goes to show that these people have no idea what they are doing.

With Tessa gone there is pretty much nobody left that I like. I have respected Sarah most of the game but after last night I have lost a bit of respect. Hopefully she can redeem herself tonight.

I hope so too. These people are stupid and Michelle is one of the only ones thinking logically at the moment.

I wonder how they are going to pad out the episodes till then. The final week must either just be on Monday/Tuesday or they must be doing a final 3 ep and just leave the final 2/reunion for the last night. Thatā€™s probably more likely what they are doing to avoid a 3 hour finale ep like they do in the US.

Unfortunately it seems Michelle chickens out. In the description for tonights episode it says Michelle plans to blindside Luke but something unexpected happens to make her change her mind. So either Luke wins immunity somehow or Michelle decides to realign herself with Luke and Jericho because she thinks she is in a stronger position with them.

Gah I hope not. Knowing how this season is panning Michelle for standing up for herself will probably be sent home.

Iā€™m not sure where Ziggy stands anymore. She actually voted for Locky last night. She has literally turned on and voted against every alliance sheā€™s been in.

Is there an immunity idol available somewhere now that Henryā€™s is out?

Nope. Remember Ziggy also has one.

Hopefully that is it for Idols. We only have 8 people left and they can only be played until 5 so it would be a bit lame to hide one now when Ziggy already has one. Also the fact that Henry was sitting at Tribal with his Idol around his neck would suggest it isnā€™t going to be rehidden.

Hasnā€™t Ziggy used her super idol to cancel out Annelieseā€™s idol? How could Ziggy still have the super idol in her possession?

Her idol had 2 halves - she used the special half to cancel an idol and has a regular idol left.

Thank christ that annoying bitch went home. Proud of yourself Sarah? Why? You could have went to the end but ended up screwing yourself by jumping on some half baked idea suggested by someone else and throwing your closest ally under the bus. Dumb.

Speaking of dumb Ziggy wasted yet another idol. She would have to be one of the most idiotic players that has ever played.

Sarah banging on what a threat Luke is and how no one can see, umm it was discussed by half the tribe this episode Sarah. Keep up girl. This shows clearly that Michelle was the glue holding Sarah together and formulating most of her strategic acumen.

Michelle gave me everything I was looking for in this episode.

I hope the preview is accurate next episode with Tara turning on Locky. I donā€™t like either but Tara doing what she does best, flipping on close allies, I can handle for a Locky vote out.

Given KFC is a sponsor of Survivor, it was inevitable it would be offered as a reward. But wasnā€™t it a waste that the nuggets were surrounded by crates of fruit and vegetables that the survivors were not able to enjoy?

Totally agree, Ziggy should have kept it until six were left.

Iā€™m really getting sick of Michelleā€™s lectures at Tribal Council. She just goes on and on and on. Itā€™s quite tedious.

Side note; canā€™t wait til Thursday with Survivor US being back. The one and only!

Ziggy would have to be one of the most clueless, stupid flip floppers to ever play Survivor. Using that Idol last night was just a waste.

I was surprised to actually see Sarah go last night as she was pretty much the last person left that I was going for, although she did shoot herself in the foot on that Tessa vote. The editing has been so appauling that I still donā€™t understand why Luke, Jericho and Sarah went rogue on that Tessa vote. They had a solid alliance and voting that way only put them in a minority. Luke is stupid enough to think that he can wiggle his way out of anything but Sarah voting Tessa clearly was just plain dumb.

The editing since the merge has been atrocious to be honest. I feel like everyone is just jumping around vote to vote, alliances forming and then suddenly breaking with no explanation. Suddenly everyone is back in their original tribal lines and it hasnā€™t been properly explained. Like what happened to Tara being tight with Sarah and so against the original Samatau? Why was Peter jumping straight back in with the people who were against him originally? Werenā€™t he and Sarah close as well at one point? Even Ziggy playing her Idol came out of nowhere. So much just makes no sense and itā€™s either the editing or these people are just amateurs.

I thought it was bizarre how they had all the crates of veggies around the KFC.

You know what. Michelle is annoying but she speaks her mind and sticks to her guns. I respect that. She is literally the only person left that I semi-like. I couldnā€™t care less for anyone else and otherwise am pretty zoned out of this season now.
