Australian Survivor

You mean manipulation by the producers?

This season has just been manipulated by producers who have punished good strategy. Last night was not epic, it was a joke. Annaliese played Survivor perfectly how its meant to be played. She found an Idol, she worked out she was getting votes and she played the Idol at the right time yet was punished by it. She has actually been done over by two seperate twists that were made just to pad out episodes. I would be absolutely fuming if I were her.

I also fail to see much good strategy going on. Annaliese did but went home. Nobody really convinced Ziggy to do what she did. She decided to do that and it was dumb. The people who think they are ruling this thing are just a bunch of inmature guys who are lucky there are so many dumbass flippers this season. Henry is smart and playing hard but I just canā€™t stand him.

No wonder ratings are really bad and dropping. Barely anyone likeable left and stupid twists have just turned this season into a joke.

Agree wholeheartedly.

Anybody would think they were teenagers with how they are carrying on. Totally obnoxious but you can tell production loves them and are almost up their arses as much as Sarah & Tara.

Sarah pisses me off the most. If she hadnā€™t flipped so much she could have easily been in a power position at the moment calling shots and have plenty goats around her (Odette, Kent, Jacquie). Instead sheā€™s letting everyone else dictate moves and pretending sheā€™s the one controlling things, just like Krusty last year. Only difference is at least she is on the right side of the numbersā€¦for now.

I loathe him too. Way too arrogant. Though I donā€™t think heā€™s smart by any means. He should have blindsided Ziggy with this vote and get her and her stupid super idol in one fell swoop. He could have also flushed Annaleiseā€™s idol out as well.

I think heā€™s lucked out completely with how stupid some of these players are. Being caught out in a myriad of lies isnā€™t a clever player, itā€™s a sloppy one. Giving that clue to Jericho was dumb as well. It alerted potential foes that he had found an idol. He was just lucky Jericho is thick.

He also never should have abandoned his original alliance. He could have scooped up Tara & Anneleise and voted out Luke & Jericho before the merge and been in an even greater power position with a host of goats. As it stands at the moment the only person to have blind faith in him seems to be Locky which isnā€™t good. I think the lack of loyalty is going to be his undoing.

The only credit I give him is the ability to have a legion of followers no matter what. That is impressive considering he comes across as so fake and smarmy in just about every situation and blatantly lies.

Now that was a good episode tonight and a proper blindside. Finally the arrogant cocky one is out. Who is the king of Survivor now?

Sublime. That is all.

There we go. That is when Survivor is exciting. When people execute good strategy. Hopefully the twists are over and this season can just play itself out.

Most importantly IN YOUR FACE LOCKY AND ZIGGY! GO HOME NOW PLEASE!!

I agree it was a brilliant blindside and the auction was pretty good. The phone call home (another Australian Survivor first) was emotional and worth every cent. Luke getting the advantage was not fair though, he just could not eat every single plate of food on offer even though he might be starving.
As always, where did all the food come from? There was not enough space underneath the bench for those double portions of food.

They obviously have someone off to the side who brings the extra food in. They just edit that out.

Tessa is right up there as my favourite cockroach ever. I was worried for her a bit in Jarradā€™s boot when she told Michelle flat out that she was on the bottom of her alliance so to see her hustle and make the right strategic moves was a blessing.

Sarah as a player has frustrated and irritated me nearly every episode but for her to pull of that whole charade was incredibly impressive. Bravo. Thankfully she was there to speak slowly and hold Jerichoā€™s hand as she spilled Henryā€™s idol lie.Still couldnā€™t believe he needed convincing.

Ahh man bun. Thatā€™s what you get for trusting people that have never liked or trusted you and ditching your original alliance. Still cannot fathom why he placed all that trust in Michelle, Luke & Jericho when he never included them in his original alliance.

Tara being chucked on the bottom with Ziggy & Ape was bliss. Still have no clue why Locky trusted Henry so much when Henry was willingly putting him in the firing line at every opportunity. Strange alliance that one. Shame you didnā€™t have your Super idol hey Zigmeister.

Luke Iā€™ve always hated and probably always will, but that was a pretty hilarious confessional. I just wish he would tone down the bravado and seemingly never ending act of being a cocky douche that wants to dominate. It grates.

Itā€™s pretty trivial, but I loved the rain during the immunity challenge. Perfect symbolism for it being Henryā€™s last episode.

That was definitely the best episode of Australian Survivor to date. For once the adverts delivered as promised.

Well it was. Everyone had an equal chance to bid and he was the only bidder with the highest amount. If there had been five people vying for it and it was chosen by drawing rocks that would have made it slightly unfair but that didnā€™t happen.

I thought it wasnā€™t fair that Luke didnā€™t get a coconut

Tessa is a great player, such a great liar at tribal, fast thinking to roll her eyes at what lochie was saying. And worked so well with Michelle. Iā€™m starting to like Michelle. Used to think she was annoying. Pete almost gave it away, for someone that was supposedly the easy vote, he wasnā€™t putting up much of a fight. Best episode yet.

Oh that was a fantastic episode. Henry sent home with an idol in his pocket like a fool - donā€™t believe his smiles and happy happy routine after the vote - he would have been fuming. Such an arrogant person. Lukeā€™s confessional at the voting booth was hilarious. :joy:

Sucked in Ziggy especially, and Locky and Tara (the two bogans) who Iā€™ve always hated. They were SO smug and satisfied during Tribal discussion when it seemed like Pete was on the chopping block - Ziggy and Lachyā€™s laughing and gloating was particularly crass.

Not sure Sarahā€™s anger was an act re: the reward. I reckon she slept on it, or was convinced of the Henry plan, so played it cool and made it seem like she wasnā€™t pissed off after all. But Lachyā€™s crazy poking and prodding of her was ridiculous - telling her at the end of the auction to ā€œspeak up thenā€ like she had something stolen off her - and then attacking Peter back at camp for saying Tessa didnā€™t have many options to take someone (yes, she could only chose 1 other player and she chose someone that received nothing). If anything Peter was the one, being aligned with her, that could have been a little upset (heā€™s smart enough to realise why Tessa chose Michelle) but Lachy was acting as if Tessa owed Sarah something.

And then chasing after Tessa and Pete in the jungleā€¦because no one is allowed to target Lachy.

Best episode of any Survivor for mine in ages. And if they all hated Henry and thought he was arrogant - Iā€™m sure they think the same of Lachy. And Ziggy has already revealed herself to be totally untrustworthy. Canā€™t wait for these 2 to be voted out next!

I just wish the editing wasnā€™t so obvious. Every single scene from Henry was highlighting how over confident he was. They didnā€™t put any real doubt in our minds that he wouldnā€™t go, apart from Locky saying to play Idol at Tribal (which I thought was bizarre because we had no indication that Locky was ever suss of anything, unless he meant play the Idol for him)

We can only hope!

Tessa definitely seems to be the viewer fave!

Yes Lacky is a twat. He also seems really needy and is always seeking validation for everything. I think the moment Locky stops being the centre of attention is the day his world crumbles. Over grown manchild.

I agree about Sarah being pissed off at the auction, it was a typical response of a pretty girl that for once was denied something and she couldnā€™t use her looks or charm to get what she wants so she chucks a tantrum but I think soon after back at camp she was twisting it to her advantage. Sheā€™s incredibly manipulative and isnā€™t adverse to using any trick to get what she wants. Sarah plays Survivor how she plays life.

Agree that was pathetic and he was also freaking out over Tessa & Peter finding an idol and was hoping to intimidate them into not looking. I doubt Tessa has ever felt intimidated or threatened by him.

Yes the editing was obvious but considering Ten has a habit of letting the viewer down I just expected the rug to be pulled at the eleventh hour and the smug git to somehow play his idol.

I also donā€™t have a problem with obvious editing in Survivor when the player is such an overconfident douche like Henry that deserves his downfall. It makes the episode so much more satisfying knowing the outcome without the misdirection hoopla and faux suspense. Itā€™s like you can sit back and revel in it without the anxiety.

Huge consequence for Locky coming second at the immunity challenge with Tessa second. Had he won, would the champagne alliance been able to blindside Henry. With Locky not being a possible target I think Henry would have been more likely to place his idol.

Same as last year, Survivor will skip the Sunday night of the NRL grand final on 1 October. You can instead enjoy Modern Family.

Iā€™m okay, thanks for offering though.

Is that Australia wide and does that mean it is only on Monday and Tuesday that week?

If thatā€™s the case then the finale could be a day later than I initially thought, most likely Tuesday 10th October (as I mentioned previously the reunion is scheduled to be pre-record on the 6th). Unless if they actually count the reunion as episode 26 (so itā€™s only 25 normal episodes) then I guess it could still be on the Monday.

Australia wide

On that Monday there are 6 left before tribal, on Tuesday 5.
