Australian Survivor

If you want to see it, look at the scene where Sam outside at the table with JL. It’s only for a couple split seconds but if you pause it in the right spot you can see a body sunbaking in the background that looks very much like one of the contestants.

You don’t sound obsessed or anything… :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I actually saw someone mention it on another site and went back to have a look. I have only watched a couple of the Jury Villa’s with Aus Survivor.

There’s both a guy and a girl sunbaking. Which one did you mean? The guy kind of looks like Lee.

I can’t make it out.

I will pop it in spoiler tags.

[spoiler]That has to be Matt.

I just went and looked AGAIN haha. You have to have very good eyes to be able to see that. Wow. haha. Yeah a bit of dodgy editing but it has kind of made me a bit more excited for the finale week :stuck_out_tongue:

EDIT: I just looked your screenshot and the video and at another time mark it looked like someone different to the person in your picture. Either way it makes me happy to see either one gone.

It can’t be the person you say because they a have a massive tattoo on the arm that can be seen which is missing in that image

Another conspiracy theory bites the dust :grinning:

Been loving Survivor.

I hope Lee wins it.

Past few weeks have been so intense and crazy :persevere:

Good point. That means it is actually Lee. The only other possibility is that the cast and crew of the show are just lounging around but I doubt it.

Have we been watching the same show? The only time in the last few weeks I can think of where it’s been “intense and crazy” was the episode that Brooke left. I can’t think of anything else prior to that vote until as far back as maybe where Phoebe saved herself at those votes pre-merge. Otherwise it’s been the most one sided predictable season probably since Redemption Island.

I could see some sort of body art on the shoulder… But again my eye sight isn’t good. It is hard to make it out from the distance.

I agree with you Luke I have loved Ten’s adaption of Survivor and it has been received well by fans of the American version, even in America. But with that said I feel the producers hurt their own show with a very predictable merge elimination sequence and the only episode, really, that had any substance since the merge was that of Brooke’s exit. Conner, Kate etc. were great players but they didn’t have the numbers because the producers allowed one team to dominate. They needed to swap the tribes again to even the numbers. But it is all a learning experience and something they can make sure doesn’t happen next year. I wouldn’t say the last few episodes have been crazy or intense, that is for sure. An avid watcher of the show would have probably been able to pick most of the tribal councils. And I am sure most of us can pick the winner.

Apparently Sunday’s episode is a must see and on par with anything the US has done, according to David Knox at TV Tonight:

Australian Survivor fans are in for a treat tomorrow night.

The episode features a series highlight that is as good as any moment you’ll see on the US series. This is a must see for true Survivor fans.

Just three episodes remain in the season, with the winner to be revealed on Tuesday night.

7:30pm Sunday on TEN.

Looking forward to it, hoping Lee or El get blindsided.

Best news.

Looking forward to the finale. I hope El wins. She has played a good game.

Really. To me El is the least deserving. She has done nothing the whole game. I am hoping Flick or Kristy win.

Australian Survivor To Return In 2017.
Casting For Castaways Now Open.

Network Ten is pleased to announce that the spectacular family entertainment series Australian Survivor will return for a second season in 2017.

The critically-acclaimed debut season saw 24 everyday Australians stranded on the tropical island of Samoa with only the clothes on their back and the determination to be named the Sole Survivor.

This must-see series has delivered compelling drama, determined competition and some incredible blindsides to Australian audiences – and it culminates this week in an unmissable television event. Across three huge final episodes, the battle for the top will be fierce and just one castaway will win the $500,000 prize and title of Australian Survivor.

The final five castaways – magician and mentalist Matt, power couple Lee and El, competition underdog Kristie and ultimate game-player Flick – have battled for almost 55 days and tonight’s epic showdown kicks off with a blistering blindside that leaves one contestant shocked that they are out of the game. The tension explodes on Monday night as friend turns against friend in a battle to make it through to the Grand Finale.

The epic finale on Tuesday 25 October starts with the three final castaways battling it out in an epic six-hour Immunity Challenge. This remarkable display of strength and determination leads into a fierce, fiery and final Tribal Council, where the final two contestants face the jury for the last time. Here they must plead their case and each member of the all-powerful Australian Survivor jury will cast a vote on who they want to win.

Network Ten Chief Content Officer, Beverley McGarvey, said: “We are pleased that audiences have embraced Australian Survivor and that the local format has impressed new viewers as well as winning over critics and super fans. Our contestants played the game with a genuinely Aussie twist and Jonathan LaPaglia has been a wonderful host and really made his mark navigating the intense Tribal Councils.

“Survivor is a truly iconic and smart entertainment series. We are very pleased to be working with our partners at Endemol Shine Australia and Castaway Television to bring it back to television screens in 2017.”

Casting for the highly anticipated second season of Australian Survivor opens today. To compete in the toughest program on Australian television, successful applicants need to be physically and mentally strong enough to survive in the most basic of conditions. They must be willing to engage with others and be confident and happy to live in close quarters with strangers.

She has done quite a bit. She managed to get the Blue tribe to keep her and Lee around. She then flipped on them and encouraged Flick to join. I think she has played a very smart social and physical game. I wouldnt be upset if she won.

It would take a lot to get me watching again. I just feel exhausted after this drawn out season and am so relieved that it’s coming to an end. If Seven or Nine put something better on against it next year I’d be more likely to watch that. Already been recording and fast forwarding through a lot of the drawn out same repeated strategy talk in some eps since X Factor started.

They reallly need to learn from their mistakes. A cast of 20 and punchier episodes. I don’t see that happening though.

Agree. I can’t see anything that El has done to deserve winning. She has floated behind others in her alliances the whole way. Mostly the girls and now Lee. Boring. Get her off. Then again Flick is the only game player left so odds are we will have an underserving winner anyway.

Was Flick really the game player? Or was that the producers? It was obvious the producers were in the ears of all the contestants asking for some big move - especially off of Sam’s comments this week.

I will definitely be watching next year. I know there has been a few things that haven’t worked but that is the case in nearly every season of Survivor. Agree episodes were a bit drawn out at times, but something that could be worked on. Agree that there were too many episodes where no one was eliminated. This could be changed with an introduction of some sort of Redemption Island or Exit Isle or something - to bring back an eliminated contestant. I think Ten have done a great job of it - and this is coming from a fan of the American version. But hey, you can’t please everyone.

who would have ever thought that there would be 3 aganoans in the top 5. for me there is a standout deserving winner which is Kristie. She has never been part of a strong alliance, most of the twists have not gone her way, she has had to fight and take risks every episode to stay in the game yet still managed not to come across as a power player. she made a blunder earlier on voting off rohan but lately she has been making all the right moves.
she played the last tribal very well, staying loyal to lee while putting enough doubt in his mind for him to play his advantage. She is in a good position to play either side now. and in that reward tribal the cast revealed they think she is the least popular person, so she could market herself as a good person to take to the top 2 that wouldn’t win many jury votes.

very curious to see what this shocking blindside is, the only thing that would genuinely shock me would be if either lee or el voted for each other.
