Australian Survivor Strengthens Its Alliance With IKEA Australia For A Second Season.

Australian Survivor: Redemption Premieres Tonight, Monday, 23 February At 7.30pm On 10.

Australian Survivor: Redemption welcomes back global home furnishing brand IKEA, for its second year as a major brand sponsor.

One of Australia’s most-watched reality franchises, Australian Survivor commands a fiercely loyal audience that delivers consistent engagement and strong commercial performance, driven by explosive streaming growth and highly sought-after young demographics.

Through enhanced in-show integration, IKEA will feature prominently at the game’s pivotal moments, when exhausted contestants are craving a warm meal and good night’s sleep.

The brand’s presence will be amplified across 10 broadcast and streaming, complemented by an exciting viewer competition offering the chance to win daily IKEA gift cards.

Tamar Hovagimian, Head of National Advertising Partnerships, Paramount Australia, said: “IKEA has proven they have what it takes to outlast, and we are proud to have them return for a second year with an expanded sponsorship that deepens their presence across one of television’s most passionate shows. We cannot wait for viewers to discover the incredible ways IKEA comes to life in this season of Australian Survivor: Redemption.

Peter Moore, Head of Media for IKEA Australia and New Zealand said: "Following the achievements of last year’s partnership, we are proud to return as the principal sponsor of this season - once again, engaging with one of the nation’s most passionate and devoted audiences.

“In 2025, we brought comfort and better sleep to challenge winners. This year, we’re taking that connection even further by introducing iconic IKEA Food rewards, bringing a taste of home, and Sweden, to hungry contestants in moments that matter most. Sound worth playing for?

“Our continued collaboration with Mindshare, Paramount Brand Studio, and the Endemol Shine production teams has been invaluable. Together, we’ve brought this integrated sponsorship to life in a creative and meaningful way, with an underlying measurement and performance framework to evaluate our success.”

Kirsty Hunter, Client Partner for Mindshare Australia, said: “Following our inaugural partnership with Australian Survivor and Paramount in 2025, we were able to demonstrate clear sales uplift and movement in typically hard‑to‑shift metrics like brand desire. Combining the creativity of the collaboration with IKEA’s deep audience insights, we’re excited to build on this momentum and continue the partnership for a second year.”

IKEA is joined by other brands including Expedia, Great Northern Brewing Co and Boost Mobile.

Will Australia accept a new Survivor host?

Australian Survivor: Redemption premieres tonight on Channel 10, with the biggest host shake up in the program’s history, as David “Golden God” Genat replaces Jonathan LaPaglia.

Is that one of the sports sets? Like the one for Football Tonight and MotoGP coverage

Yes

(Genat) said he’s requested his social media team not to include any spoilers in this season’s social content.

“The way we do social media needs to point towards what we’re watching. Not here’s our spoiler for who won… I don’t want to reveal who’s gone home.

“I think the fun of it is ‘Let’s get a little clip of something that’s interesting on the show, and get people to watch the show’, this is what we want.”

He admitted the spoiler accounts “will always be there”.

The two tribes had to win their first head to head challenge in order to earn the tribal name. The winning tribe would become the Bounty tribe and would get a fully built shelter plus firewood, flint and fruits. The losing tribe would be the Barren tribe and had to start from scratch.

The purple tribe won the first challenge and became the Bounty tribe, while the losing green tribe was now the Barren tribe.

Looks good!

With the AFC Women’s opener on Sunday - will Survivor survive the ratings tank, with a whopping 10.30pm start in AEDT states (9.30pm in QLD/10pm Adelaide/9.45pm Perth)

It’s a repeat of the first episode.

Ten seem to have a ridiculous amount of Survivor repeats this weekend on the main channel, with episodes repeated and re-repeated again in the same day. There are episodes listed for both Saturday morning and Saturday evening, as well as the same episodes again Sunday morning and Sunday evening.

First 3 eps on YouTube

I don’t believe you so I checked the EPG. Dear me, it looks obscene.

What the hell is this?

Ah yes, the old if they won’t watch it we’ll make them watch it.
Face it 10, you’re shooting yourself in the foot further

Aging like milk :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m caught up.

Finding it difficult to get into it. They desperately needed something interesting this year. It’s feeling so repetitive, idol swap, drama with flint, overexcited chaotic players go first, we’ve seen it all so many times. I feel like I can finish their sentence, there are so many cliches. Even the challenges feel the same every episode. The ‘redemption’ theme is forced and doesn’t add anything. Don’t know if I’ll last this year.

10 must be very desperate, it put on the watermark “Survivor: catch up now” with a QR code during The Graham Norton Show tonight.

Already done that at least once earlier in the day. It’s a five-alarm fire situation now.

10 getting what they deserve in my opinion. JLP should never have been replaced.

Was always inevitable they’d lose more in ad revenue than they’d save on JLP’s salary. Wednesdays episode down 25% on the equivalent last year and 100k down on the premiere.
