Pretty good promo from 10 yet again. Looks like a good season.

I was at a Christmas party the other day and a friend of mine knew someone on a previous survivor season. Apparently there was murmurs going around that the Australia vs the world season was very good that 10 were considering bringing forward. Obviously this didn’t happen but they are saying it’s one of the best filmed seasons of survivor. I’m looking forward to it after hearing that information. I wasn’t exactly sold on it before.

I heard this rumour too and my immediate thought was ‘How? It’d stuff up scheduling terribly because the seasons are very different in length
’

Probably the reason why they didn’t do it.

Maybe.
To be fair I’ve heard they’re incredibly happy with it as well, and truly believe it’s going to be an all-time great season, which is awesome.

Au Survivor has delivered so consistently, which is amazing because when it was announced in 2015 people were legitimately like ‘lol watch Australia stuff Survivor up again!’
I just wish they’d work out exporting it to the US, Canada and world (even through Paramount) while the seasons air here. So much money could be made to keep the show going.

The success of Au v World, and hopefully BvB II could be the door open for two seasons a year again, given the dwindling returns on other Aussie Paramount/10 shows.

Yup! Also very surprised the rights haven’t been picked up in the US given there seems to be enough interest in it.

Paramount+ & Prime Video used to have AUS Survivor seasons in the U.S but I think they’ve dropped them.
U.S fans are very familiar with accessing the show. Facebook/Discord groups are all over the place with links. If they want to draw in a new audience, getting it on CBS would be key. Great schedule filler during the summer season. But that’s never gonna happen. The CW might be willing to pick it up for the right price though.
Maybe CBS can figure out a one-off deal to get Aus vs The World on the schedule.

Who Will Brain Supreme?

Australian Survivor: Brains V Brawn. Coming Soon On 10 And 10 Play.

Treachery. Loyalty. Deception. Lies. Chaos.

The long-awaited rematch of Australian Survivor: Brains v Brawn, where mind and body battled it out until a Brain stood victorious, returns in 2025.

In the most explosive season yet, 12 of the physically strongest and 12 of the most strategic minds will go head-to-head in Samoa for the epic tenth season of Australian Survivor.

Ranging from PhD students to teachers and A.I. experts, the Brains tribe are made up of the smartest players who use their intelligence, wits and mental strength to get ahead. They work smarter, not harder and they are ready to take the win again.

But the Brawn tribe are ready to knock them off the podium. Their lives are defined by strength and are used to putting their bodies on the line - they are courageous, hard working and born competitors. Hungry to settle the score, the tribe will feature rescue firefighters, Olympic sprinters and coaches.

In a game where mind and body are once again about to be put to the test, these 24 individuals will attempt to Outwit, Outplay and Outlast to take home the title of Sole Survivor and a life-changing $500,000.

I really do not like these promos. They are far too over produced, giving us no real context or substance except the same old flashy words on the screen with dramatic music over random disjointed comments.

‘Most explosive season ever’, ‘Most unpredictable plays in Survivor history’. There was even something posted on social media about the ‘fastest Idol find ever in 5 mins’ or something. I walk away from it feeling nothing except that 10 are using the same old tricks without getting much context on the season itself. I will expect that they do the same for the Aus vs World season too. It’s repetitive and tiring when it’s done every time.

Which it has been for many, many seasons. It takes some viewers a lot longer to accept that.

“Biggest week ever”, “which favourites say goodbye”, “shock death”, “the street will never be the same again”.

Okay the last 2 may be used for a specific show, but the first 2 are used in every 10 show promo.

Unfortunately it’s what Australian networks do to promote their shows. We can’t see we don’t see similar things for the block, mafs, Australian idol, my kitchen rules etc.

There must be a reason for this sort of marketing.

Maybe they’ll learn eventually that for something to be unpredictable you have to avoid telling them something unpredictable is going to happen.

No actual gameplay spoilers here but last nights Traitors UK was a joy because we go into it cold.

Multiple cast-led things happened in the episode and we had no idea they were coming until they aired, but if it were on Ten you know every “shock” moment would have been pre-promoted to death in advance of it airing.
