Commencing production soon, Brains V Brawn II will pose the question, what gets you further in the world’s toughest game, brute strength or intelligence? Two tribes separated by those who favour muscle and those with sharpened minds will battle it out in the hopes of becoming the next to take home the title, the glory, and $500,000.
David/Goliath was just a version of Champions/Contenders … been there done that
So those in the know are now reporting that it’s going to be an Australia vs The World season, featuring 7 players from Australia and 7 from other countries (like USA, New Zealand, UK, South Africa). Apparently it will only film for 15 days too.
Sounds like absolute unnecessary filler and the beginning of the end for Aus Survivor. They’d be better of slightly shortening the normal season, making this an Aussie All Stars that goes a bit longer.
10 Upfronts:
Once we’ve crowned our jungle king or queen, it’s time to dust off those buffs for not one but two strategy-stuffed seasons of Australian Survivor. February sees a sequel of sorts to our most successful theme show ever with Australian Survivor: Brains v Brawn II. Once again, our two tribes are separated by smarts and strength, before battling it out on the beaches of Samoa for the title, the glory, and half a million dollars.
When it comes to Survivor, we Aussies reckon we’re tough as nails. We talk the talk but now the time has come to walk the walk when our local Survivor legends take on players from Survivor franchises around the world in the unsurprisingly titled Survivor: Australia v The World.
Cheer on some of Australia’s most celebrated players including George, Shonee and Kirby as they face off against superstar players from Survivor South Africa, Norway, New Zealand, and of course the U.S., which will be represented by Survivor legends Parvati, Tony and Cirie. This is a world-first event you don’t want to miss!
Any word on how long the Au vs World season will be? Rumours suggested as short as 15 days which would be such a disappointment/missed opportunity
I reckon the Aus v World season will follow Big Brother, to close out official survey season of 2025 in late November.
14 days is what I’ve been hearing, so it’s probably just going to be 3 week filler somewhere in Ten’s schedule.
Do people really want to see people like Shonee and George play again? This will be Shonee’s 4th time and George’s 3rd time (he’s also been on The Amazing Race). It feels like overkill milking the same contestants.
Can they PLEASE stop with these boring cookie-cutter themes!!! We aren’t good at it. I especially thought Brains v Brawn was a weak season with production incapable of properly balancing challenges which just made it so boring to watch. Hopefully they learned from their mistakes this time.
Aus vs The World will be interesting and I think the Aus selection is pretty good but they’ve obviously gone with the most popular contestants as opposed to the best at actually playing the game. How many more times are they going to milk George and Shonee?? 14 days is a bit of a cop out too, why can’t they do a season equivalent to the U.S’ length?
I do like the idea of seeing Parvati again though
I didn’t even notice those US names. They are big pulls (with Parv being my fave player ever) but probably not known to most Australian viewers.
I am certain both Parvati and Tony have said that they wouldn’t play again so it’s probably a reason for the short season (to convince them to play) and I’m sure they are being paid well to participate. Maybe the format will be quite different too and they’ll be playing for charity or something.
I saw David Genat’s face too in the 10 News story.
Second season will be later in the year, as expected.
We work really hard to make sure there’s a reason to come back to MasterChef . Same with Survivor . In 2025 it is Brains v Brawn and then later in the year Australia Versus the World.
Fan sites Inside Survivor and Rob Has a Website (which Talking Tribal host Shannon Guss is a member of) have their own takes on the 2025 seasons.
Shonnee, yes! George, blood hell, no.
Probably the opposite - will be used just before Big Brother premieres to bring that reality TV audience back to Ten in advance.
At least the short run should avoid the fake eliminations.
Yes. Mel Tracina said Big Brother will be in Q4 of 2025 when she was on Have You Been Paying Attention.
