The Survivor store is new for this season, the winning prize for the reward challenge. It includes fishing gear, condiments, soap, canned food, garden tools etc. One member from the winning tribe can get three items, or just take two items and allow a member from the losing tribe to take an item.
I wonder if it would return later in the season.
Thanks, I though it was a little strange during a reward challenge where Khan draped his leg over Mark calling him his husband and having friendly banter with Sam on the other pontoon. It didnât seem like an interaction someone would do after only a couple of days.
Episode 3 was better if only for a slight twist at tribal.
Still I wish we could get to know some of the other players. So many just blend in together and are given nothing.
Great to see the women having to work twice as hard as the men. Couldnât the sand bags be made of different weights.
Seriously It would be great to see soon if the females can get a challenge that suit their strengths because lugging sand bags that weigh as much as they do or requiring them to sit atop a man to complete the challenge isnât exactly fair.
That was either a fully committed attempt at a charade by Sam or she hasnât learnt anything from her previous experience. Overplaying, poor communication skills and a tendency to want to take charge early. Weâve been down this road before.
Youâre spoiling all the attempts by producers who are trying to hide how contrived and fake reality shows are.
Too many idols again. Each episode has featured it
Is it really fair 2 people who know each other outside can form an alliance already and not only 2 but 4 people if they all survive to merge
Heaps of guys would probably be comfortable making that Joke. Heaps I know personally would. I wouldnât read into it too much
Nope. Not at all. I just hope it doesnât have much of an impact like Survivor NZ season 2 with the friends, with one going to top 3.
Itâs not the joke, itâs the implication that they are too overtly friendly with each other and could form a power alliance with the two couples.
Well weâve already seen how it goes on other seasons where some people already know each other outside of the game and it almost always plays as an advantage inside the game.
People knowing each other on reality TV is not a new thing. It happens on casts of every season around the world.
I never said it was a new thing, just in the Survivor realm it can alter outcomes to the detriment of other players that canât possibly compete with a real world relationship. Not every reality show player is competing for a large cash prize either.
I get it though, sometimes people can have a tenuous relationship outside the game and that can fall through casting cracks, though it is a little unfair especially in a blood vs water season where people are already duos that a quad/trio can do a lot more damage.
They were pretty brazen, so hopefully the players realise and adjust their games accordingly.
A lot of people didnât like the direction of the new US season but what I did really like was that they found new ways to amp up the game without relying on Idols. Idolâs were barely used or relevant for most of the recent US season. It just gets too repetitive when people are constantly finding idols and every Tribal Council tries to build something around an idol. Boring.
Not in the US apart from All Stars / Returnee seasons. Australia likes to just do a jumble of returning players, celebs and newbies. It puts me off.
The purpose bod BvW should be that they only know their family member as the pre-existing relationship. Others having pre-existing relationships outside of that is a pretty big and unfair advantage.
I didnât even notice this. so what does Jonathan say now instead of guys? Also how ridiculous.
Why is something considered as âwokeâ bad? Language and the context in which it is used has evolved over time. It usually is a reflection of the zeitgeist. But of course in 2022 it is always politicized. People need to focus on more important things.
He just says âCome on inâ.
2nd year in a row the contestants did not seem happy with morning tea as a reward.
I wouldnât be either
I saw that twist at the end coming as soon as JLP said blue would be sitting in on tribal. Itâs happened most seasons. How did the rest of them not see it coming?
It was pretty obvious there was a reason that the other tribe was attending Tribal Council. I just hate when episode filler twists like this ruin great moves!
Also why save someone this early in the game? There are still 21 contestants. It needs to speed up not slow down. If they want to pick up viewers then they need to get the game movingâŚ
Apparently Sophie got paid a lot of money to do this show. They probably didnât want to waste money on her leaving so soon. I am sure they have the fake tribals planned for when they want to exercise them depending on what is likely to happen. For all we know the Sophie blindside was planned pre-challenge so they organised the twist ready for Sophie to be saved.
Yes agree, Sandra needed rewarding even if my girl Soph got the boot.
Sad if true that they are that desperate to pay people to appear rather than just casting people who want to appear. I can only imagine how much theyâre paying Sandra.
I really like Sophie but she isnât worth having to pay for her to appear. The rest of the cast is very solid.
Recruits probably. It was exactly like when they learned they would be separated from their loved ones in different tribes. I guess they never watched the US seasons of BvW.
