Australian Survivor

It wasn’t George, it’s Simon. Not only that, he found two on the same day, the second one as the Brawns tribe was preparing to make toasties after winning the reward challenge. How lucky was he?

They gave the person two in one. The producers might of well just handed them to the person and another person saw it so it’s going to be interesting.

Production have actually fucking lost it with what they’re pulling now

Simon is the kind of person I would like to see leave with an immunity idol.

Not sure why George revealed to everyone he had the idol. They’ll flush it and they’ll get him next time around.

That’s exactly what they did at tribal council and also managed to blindside Mitch in the process.

I really really like Simon. Not just because he’s super good looking (that’s a bonus) but he is a super passionate Survivor fan as well who is willing to play the game and not just give up. The way that he turned the vote off him last Tribal Council was pretty impressive. I do think that there are too many advantages floating around this early in the game (and somehow both people that have had two of them are seemingly the underdogs??) but if someone were to get them I’m glad it was him.

I miss the days when there were a pre determined number of immunity idols hidden on the island at the start of the game before they even showed up for filming. Now it’s probably producers coming into camp going 'Ok guys we need you to stay here while we go hide an idol"

Season 1 did it so well. 1 Per camp, 1 on the merge camp and one one exile that was never found. The idols that were played pre merge were never re hidden and the biggest advantage that was played was a vote steal. Then from S2 the idols have been constantly hidden at rewards.

Survivor Simon with cameos from George, Baden & Joey.

Seriously this is the second season running with ridiculously lopsided editing favouring a handful of players, of course it’s all men being predominantly featured.

At least half of the content so far has been Simon and he hadn’t even found idols or played a move successfully at that point.

Speaking of horrible editing, in Benny’s boot Baden’s confessionals were all over the place with him constantly appearing in new locations wearing completely different clothes and talking in non-sequiturs.

Then you had Shannon talking about what a threat Simon was, except by then Shannon had been sporting those pigtail things meaning that was all old content. Not to mention she contradicted herself in confessionals by what she was saying to camp mates throughout the episode and it being clearly stated Benny’s name being put out there wasn’t new and had been tried before, so it had nothing to do with one challenge performance.

Oh Shannon thank you for once again proving that stereotype about models being dumb. Simon says you’re an idiot Shannon.

So she flips on a seemingly solid alliance to save a guy that has wanted to get her out before, acknowledges that Simon is a Survivor know it all, intelligent, crafty and a threat and still doesn’t take him out. Who cares about challenge performance when you have a majority alliance and it you lose you can pick off the other four, which by then will be a merge. So of course he was going to find an idol, no make that two. I hope Simon idols her out along with her equally dumb brigade of bimbos, Daini and Gerald included.

George is my favourite player. I can’t help but like him even if he makes a hash of things and doesn’t choose his words carefully enough or sometimes lets his ego get the best of him.

Joey is a an arrogant douche

Georgia has permanent resting bitch face

Baden is awfully smug for someone on the outs

Cara meh. Were being told she’s lovely but have seen no evidence. Come through on your abilities blonde Deanna Troi.

Rachel urghh. No thanks.

Hayley the hypocrite. Talks about Mitch playing in the middle but has never left the middle herself. Boring player that will no doubt dissapoint later down the track.

Laura got nothing for her. Total non entity.

Wai. Really like her and hope she and George make it a long way.

Andrew, almost forgot about him, the survival expert that took a week to make fire.

Emmett total smug douchebag bro. No f*cking thank you.

Flick the bootleg Ziggy from Home & Away. Another non entity and seemingly Shannon’s bitch.

Kez there’s something about her I really hate but can’t put my finger on. Her being part of the brainless barbie triad hasn’t helped her cause.

Daini good god no thanks. I hate flip floppers that think they’ve got it in the bag and think they’re king shit by playing both sides.
Chelsea nah. A muay thai fighter that gets her ass handed to her buy a scrawny scientist and that then jokes abouting showing someone a real headlock. PMSL.

Dani reminds me of the Freak from Wentworth. That is all.

Simon. I just wish everyone else loved him as much as he loves himself. His surname is just so fitting.

Absolutely adore the location and have really enjoyed all the challenges so far. Such a great mix.

That is an essay

So I don’t know if what happened tonight has happened in other season but it was very Australian reality TV thing they do now.

Noooo. Just as they finally let Cara shine she’s booted. Thankfully she lucked out on George’s production save, which I’m absolutely thrilled about.

Cara really is a gem. She seemed so genuinely lovely and kooky in the bits around camp. So annoyed that instead of showing us some awesome personalities we get to hear umpteenth confessionals about how amazing Simon thinks he is.

Wai, Wai, Wai. So disappointed in her and her lack of vision. She wanted to play a move and think of her future, yet failed to see she was just an easily discardable number and lowest on the alliance totem pole. What the most frustrating thing is though had she not flipped they would have pulled off an amazing move and she maybe would have created some inroads for herself in the long run and established loyalty with an alliance that values her. Total idiot.

What she has managed to do is prove she isn’t to be relied upon, isn’t loyal and will flip at the drop of a hat if she thinks she can do better for herself. No one wants a fair-weather friend this early in the game.

As much as I think Rachel is a total annoying bitch, she was completely right about George spewing that info and in that manner before a challenge. The last thing they want to do is create rifts or present a fractured front to the other tribe.

George, sometimes he can be his worst enemy, especially how he walked off instead of listening to Rachel, but he was so endearing at that tribal. I really felt for him. God why couldn’t Wai stay loyal, they would have been an amazing alliance.

Urggh didn’t appreciate Georgia’s BS regarding George and pretending she genuinely cares about him, just be honest and say you’re shadowing him.

Of cause Joey opens his mouth like a singing canary the moment anyone pays him even the slightest bit of attention. Why would you give info to the opposition? If you spill your guts to one opposition you’ll do it again. Knowledge is power, so why let others have your power?

As for the challenge performance I can’t believe the Brains didn’t put any of their stronger men on the winch and sat Wai out of the puzzle. I wouldn’t be surprised if they hadn’t try to throw that challenge.

What I love about the challenges this year, like the reward challenge, is that it forces everyone on the team to play a role and making sure each team is only as strong as the weakest link. I’ve hated Survivor challenges in the past when it only takes one or a couple of players to win the team challenge.

Way too many idols.

It just seems suss to me that at 3/3 Tribal Councils George has had an advantage save him. He may not have found the Idol this time but the fact that the person he was searching with did makes me wonder if the location or area was pointed out to them…

I also hate the way they do these stupid save twists on Australian Survivor. It kills the momentum. Cara deserved to go for not playing that Idol on herself, plus it was a genius move for the other alliance to pull Wai in and get her voting their way. Now that was all for nothing really.

yeah this is going the same way as Big Brother, too many twists and producer interference. I want to see things play out naturally.

I didn’t find any difficulty in believing that the only two people who seemed to be looking for an idol were the ones that found it. It wasn’t like they had much competition; what was wrong with the rest of the tribe - were they so confident in surviving tribal? I know a lot of cases in the US series seem suspicious but not this one.

Honestly it feels like apart from George, Wai, Cara and Mitch, the rest of the brains tribe have been a massive snoozefest. Everyone else seems to be followers.

On the brawn side you have many people being active players and in the spotlight in comparison.

I have found some interest in Joey.

I guess that cockiness was justified.
