I didn’t realise the price has gone up for Apple TV + I am still paying $79.99 a year but it is now $99.99

Still works out $8.25 a month so won’t be cancelling.

Yeah, 6 of the 14 games each matchday will be available for free. At the moment, those games will be in front of the Apple TV+ paywall (i.e., you only need an Apple ID to access them). However, it seems like eventually (unless plans have changed) there’ll be less of those games and more games available to ATV+ subscribers without needing to get the MLS package.

Does Chris Evans have a contract with Apple?

Actually looks quite good, will get onto that after Ted Lasso comes out.

Great choice, really enjoying this so far, as are many others.

Just finished the Irish series ‘Bad Sisters’. It was outstanding, highly recommended.

Now waiting for Ted Lasso next week. Looking forward to it.

Does Hello Tomorrow get better. It’s supposed to be a comedy but I haven’t laughed once.

How’s everyone finding Ted Lasso’s third season? I’m very on the fence so far and feel that it’s not as good as the previous two in regards to the storylines and humour, but the most recent episode was strong.

It feels a little bit like they’re trying to cram too much in so far because its their last season

the last 2 eps (sunflowers and the strings that bind us) have been some of the best.

from the converstion between Trent Crimm and Colin in SUnflowers, to Roy Kent slowly taking on some of teds mannerisms in Strings that Bind us its been enjoyable. I was even feeling for nate in his awkwardness to ask Jade out

They’ve been really good episodes, but it feels a little late to give some of these characters additional story depth.

My issue with the show so far has been the episodic writing and the lack of development into B and C plots, the season-arc is becoming more clear as we go along and that’s great, but each individual episode doesn’t feel like the Ted Lasso of old, with exception of the Brendan Hunt & Brett Goldstein written ones. Another issue I’m having is a lack of runtime devoted to the main cast, I’m pretty sure Rebecca only had about two scenes in the most recent episode, which was about an hour long.

The show feels like it’s being carried over the line by Roy and Jamie at the moment, the Zava character was pointless and didn’t add anything other than some clear motivation to Jamie’s character, as was Keely’s friend who also added really nothing. Ted’s character has remained good this season which is welcomed given he’s the lead, but it’s also feeling like he’s being eclipsed by the breakout character’s like Roy and Beard etc, I wonder if that’s deliberate for the conclusion of the series or not, we’ll find out at the end of May.

There are too many open story strands and it’s hard to see them getting resolved before the end of the series - some feel like they exist simply to fill time
