Amor/Maddern Leaked Video

I don’t call my work day complete unless I hear a loud F-bomb in any newsroom. :joy:

Are you serious? It wasn’t “in front of a female”, it was WITH a female who was just a part of the conversation and threw in plenty of her own.

It’s a sign they work well together that they can talk so freely and candidly.

Good: be respectful towards women.
Bad: censor yourself with women you know because they’d be unable to handle it.

What’s the term when a decent left ideology goes so far it ends up being a far-right ideology?

It’s called respect and class. I am a teacher and I’m always instilling the importance of treating women with respect. Yes, it’s important to treat everyone with respect but in the region I’m in, with high DV rates, treating women with respect is something I’m big on.

Each to their own. The worst thing about this site and the reason I seldom post on here anymore is you genuinely CANNOT voice your opinion without being absolutely hunted down in the comments and told why your opinion, yes opinion, is wrong.

Unfortunately, the real world has changed a lot.

The worst thing about a discussion forum is the discussion?
Bold take.

On this forum, you can’t create your own bubbles, unlike Twitter and Facebook. The threads are open for everyone to comment with moderation on top. This is why this forum gets blasted for being so ‘unfair’ when an opinion is challenged. You’d seldom face the same ‘unfairness’ on Twitter or other social media because generally only those you follow or who follow you will interact with you (the bubble). But we’ve all seen pile ons on those platforms too, like news outlet’s or politician’s tweets which aren’t bubbles.

Sick of this place being labelled as “toxic” only by those who have been challenged. Participate. Feeling like people are being unfair? Reply! Teach members why they’re wrong. But nooo. Too hard. It’s the forum, not you.

And some seem to be bold enough to tear down other people and give them labels but then uses the ‘victim’ card when others challenge them.

I completely agree with @TFTV’s sentiment. If you don’t agree with what the majority of people are saying here then you get called out. Opinions are opinions and that is that.

But dude, that’s ok. It’s not a discussion forum otherwise, is it not? You’ll just be left on read. How is that better exactly?

Edit: I’ve just realised I’ve now called you out on your opinion about TFTV. So now I’m part of the toxic vein running through the forum I guess?

But that’s the point of this forum. It is to discuss. If you want to be agreed with and not “called out” go to a forum where all share the same view as you. It is what it is.

Donald Trump today didn’t agree with an interviewer who called him out on his election lies and hung up on the interview. Perhaps Donald should’ve gone on Fox where his views do not get challenged. Your point is exactly that.

And opinions can be challenged. You have challenged many’s opinions on this forum so it’s only fair game that criticisms of your opinions occur if they lack logical reasoning.

If you don’t agree with someone’s opinion - debate it with them and challenge them, that’s completely fine and should always be encouraged, but there’s no need to make rude remarks just because you disagree with them. I don’t want to bring up old situations but case in point would be some of the stuff that went down in the covid threads last year. Let’s say I said we should come out of lockdown for example, I’d probably be told to go away, piss off, shut up, or have my intelligence questioned. I would give my opinion and receive personal attacks because I wasn’t agreed with. Linking it back to what TFTV’s said, he gave his opinion on this topic, received a reply that could be implied as sarcastic and he clearly didn’t appreciate it. Just be kind people!

the majority voicing a difference of opinion to you is not being “called out”. It’s called having a different opinion. You have the right to express yours, they have the right to do the same and nobody is obliged to agree with everyone. All we ask is that such difference is handled with respect for the other person.

Personal attacks are not acceptable in any form. If you have any posts that you feel are inappropriate towards you, use the report feature to alert the mods.

Yes. That’s what having a discussion in society can entail.

Too often on this forum, the man gets played, not the ball. It’s probably THE worst aspect of this site, but this site is not alone in that.

Ai-Media, a provider of closed captioning services to the Seven Network, has released a statement regarding an investigation into who leaked footage of two news presenters. The footage of Mike Amor and Rebecca Maddern criticising Novak Djokovic in fairly colourful terms circulated widely earlier this week.

The captioning company says it has identified an employee who was working remotely and was responsible for the leak, and “appropriate action has been taken”.

A little off-topic, but
I love the Seven bashing from News here: “US mocks Seven’s emabrrassing leaked Djoker clip” in the title, then in the actual article it says “And it seems the duo have themselves a mega-famous new fan, with Kimmel chuckling to the crowd afterwards and praising their candour.”
