Well done! That sounds like it’s being helped by aircraft scatter.
I had something fade up this morning (just before 9) on 95.5 Schofields Rd Tallawong playing Sister Sledge we are family. Maybe a first catch of 2TM

2BS Sofala strong into Bywong this morning on 90.1, so they’ve obviously fixed it. Nothing on 88.1 or 89.3. Also fair 2MG 97.1 with Supernetwork crap.
Really strong tropo continuing from the NW.
Triple G Gunnedah 97.5:
Now FM Moree 98.3:
Also got Sky on 95.9, as well as both Armidale and Tamworth ABC stations. 103.9 seemed to be ABC Local - maybe from Moolarben Coal Mine?
Down in Sydney on my road trip to VIC
Had good tropo in the car on the way down with the CW Slopes ABCs heard in a few spots like Swansea and at Cowan. 102.3 and 105.5 were the strongest.
Heard ABC News Canberra a few times between Gosford and Sydney.
And NW Slopes ABCs were heard a few times too, right near home and at Doyalson and Wahroonga, 96.7 waa the strongest.
Another day with lots of catches today. Upper Namoi services were the strongest I’ve ever seen since I put my current setup up, with Triple G, Now FM and Sky Racing coming in. The ABC services on 99.1 and 100.7 even managed to come in over the top of local stations.
Central Western Slopes (Mount Cenn Cruaich) were also particularly strong, coming on top of local services on 107.1 and 107.9.
Armidale and Tamworth also in – usually rare catches at my location. Rarest of all was probably ABC Local on 103.9 (Moolarben Coal Mine seems to be the only match for this?)
Amazing!
And wow!
I was going to say whilst I was out driving early this evening I was amazed at the coverage of stations I was hearing from Eden up to Coffs & quite reasonable reception of the Central Western Slopes ABC’ers. The standout for me was the strength of the ABC Upper Namoi services with ABC Classic sounding as though it was a local station in high parts of the city.
My surprise catch was 98.7 Kandos Community Radio over ABC Classic Manning River over on the Sydney coast.
Wow- what a catch as that’s very low powered. Any sign of the Rebel on 107.5 from out that way, or was that frequency swamped by Orange? That 103.9 barely gets to Gulgong in normal conditions.
Harry High Pressure is finally moving on tomorrow, taking its -8C mornings and tropo with it. Strong westerlies with a frontal stream are predicted before Harry moves in again at the end of the week. This has been an astoundingly strong high pressure system for June. Climate change may be good for tropo as we get more and more strong blocking highs like this.
As the darkest day of winter arrives, it was time once again to do some more AM DXing while out of town. Not a whole lot more than what I normally get but with a lot stronger signals.

I didn’t hear 2TM on 1287, which makes me wonder if they have turned off their AM transmitter now, thus completing the process of converting to FM.
Great log!
945 would be Bendigo
882 is 4BC Brisbane, 945 would be RSN Bendigo and 2TM went off on the 16th.
One wonders what else from out that way could have been received had not so many local channels blocked NW FM DX opportunities.
107.5 in the city region of Sydney early evening appeared to have been 2EAR from my monitoring. Not sure what I was receiving on 107.5 that frequency in middle of day; Moruya or possibly Orange, sounded like community radio music programming.
GNFM was around for probably around at least 10 minutes and was fading in and out throughout.
Yep, it was pretty weak, but I could make out that it matched the sports broadcast on 97.3 ABC Illawarra.
107.5 was Orange at my location. Confirmed by matching the web stream.
I managed to get to Boambee Headland briefly this morning. Just some enhancement to around Taree and Forster plus also very weak 102.7 Mt Canobolas noted.
1287 was switched off last Monday June 16th
Interesting that 2EAR was dominant for you in the east. 2EAR is semi permanent into parts of Coogee, particularly the reserve at the top of Hendy Avenue. I reckon on a good day you’d get Braidwood FM there also. Pity that 2EAR has a clear channel but not 2BRW.
Orange usually dominated Batemans Bay at Oatley on 104.3, 105.9 and 107.5 unless there was really strong tropo to the South Coast.
Yes, I find it easier to get 2EAR than 2EEE or 2EC. Have stopped for lunch at Kiama, heard 2EAR just a few kms north of town on the Princes Hwy, but didn’t hear 2EEE or 2EC.
DXed at Hill 60 Port Kembla, I heard Middle Brother ABCs on 97.1 and 98.7, but that’s about the only log of notice. Conditions not as good as yesterday, no Mt Dowe ABCs not even on the elevated sections of F6 south of Waterfall.
I did hear a bit of the CW Slopes ABCs on the F6 but they are probably semi permanent there anyway.
And no 2BRW at Hill 60 either, all Skid Row there.
Interesting- I could hear 2BRW from there quite OK, but that was in February. The warm westerly today is probably to blame.
Log time. Ulladulla NSW approx 4pm today, near the lighthouse

An oddity - I had SKY Sports Bathurst about 10 kms north of Ulladulla on the car Radio, not heard since. Also had 94.3 SKY Sports Goulburn near Nowra.
My motel room for the night would have made for a good DX spot, except for the hash! Even on the balcony! View from my balcony below - Radiohead radiomobile (white sedan) in the car park below,
No sign of XL or Snow FM? Surprising as I had both in the Batemans Bay shopping centre car park on Saturday (surrounded by buildings).I think I’ve even heard 94.7 Jindy from Ulladulla.
