Mackay booming into Brisbane this morning. CQ and WIde Bay elevated but not to same extent.
Also getting Mt Dowe at high levels with commercials.

Some DX in Apollo bay tonight.
Launceston, Gippsland and Melbourne stations at local levels. (40-50dBuV)
Gippsland gold and TRFM 98.3/99.9 almost at RDS level.
Triple M 97.9 Traralgon with RDS.
LAFM/chilli with full RDS decode.
Just went through there again this morning. Absolutely no sign of 5RM on 89.1FM, even when right next to the supposed transmitter site on Ramco Road.
What I did have there instead was Triple B FM from Nuriootpa instead, as there was quite a fair bit of enhancement this journey. Had ABC Mildura 104.3 all the way up to the Adelaide Hills where it was slowly replaced by a Classic FM.
Despite the enhancement, 91.5 5RM didnât last long after Waikerie as expected. Itâs safe to assume that none of their translators are on the air, with how strong Triple B was.
I thought 5RM at Waikerie was meant to be 89.9, not 89.1âŚ
Was Magic FM on 97.1 at Waikerie on air?
As mentioned elsewhere Kix 92.3 MAryborough is transmitting a blank carrier. That might provide an opportunity for some in the area to receive ABC Coffs
Whoops, you are right. A lack of coffee definitely did not helpâŚ
But that being said, I did also do an auto scan and it went right past that frequency so may still possibly not be there.
I donât recall hearing Magic either.
Sadly they donât have a local tech in the bundy region due to him retiring
sounds like some E-skip in Renmark again with âABC radioâ on 99.5 and music that sounds like ABC classic on 97.9
That combination is probably Mt Moombil.
Noice!
Agree, probably Coffs Harbour NSW (where 99.5 is Radio National)
A bit of lift here today, also had Coffs Harbour ABCs, SW Slopes ABCs except 89.9 (could move my antenna to swap between 90.7 & 91.5 JJJ and News Radio, where both stations are on the same two frequencies but they are swapped around). Canberra could also be heard.
Mackay into Bowral. Hit 100.3 mixing with 2MCR
Star 101.9 mixing with Batemans Bay
Also Middle Brother via Tropo.
Also 91.1 Townsville
now W.A E-skip coming into Renmark with Hit97.9 Goldfields, Kalgoorlie ads noted
Iâm getting ABC RN on 92.7. I donât think itâs from NSW as it doesnât match whatâs on ABC RN Orange. Any thoughts as to where it might be from?
The only RN that shows up on ACMAâs listings is a 100w TX from Bowen Town in QLD, 1,577 km away. Could a 100w TX make it that far via SpE? Also got some pop music starting to mix in at the end.
One watt FMâers have been picked up via SpE so itâs possible
I got an ID on the pop station on 92.7 â it said âHit 100.3â, so it appears to be the relay of Hit Mackay coming out of âHail Creek Southâ (100W, 1,409 km). So probably the RN station is probably the one from Bowen Town (100W, 1577 km).
Getting ABC Local FNQ on 91.1 also. Not sure if itâs from Townsville or the 100W relay from Clermont Mine (1,294km).
For some reason, all this SpE is coming in better on the east-facing antenna than the north or northeast facing one.
Something briefly faded up here in Apollo Bay on 94.9 and it managed to decode the pi code 3949. Are there any non Victorian stations which use this pi code? It didnât seem like tropo due to how quickly it faded up.
94.9? or 94.5?
As I checked the RDS worksheet, and the only station listed with a 3949 PI code is 94.5 3YB FM Warrnambool.
It was on 94.9. Not sure what it couldâve been then.
Managed to record a ping from Hit Esperance 102.3 as well thanks to the autologger
