I thought it would start early today.
NZ FM Es in.
90.0 & 94.0MHz Invercargill
BTW 89.3 2GLF are having some audio dropout problems, might be advantageous to check between 89.2 & 89.4 with some NZ Es DX about.
All Es weak atm though. Could change over next hour/s or so.
That would be Greymouth , I thought I also had something on 91.5, which is also Greymouth.
There’s also very weak & sporadic signals from regions of Dunedin & Nelson about at the moment.
UPDATE: Signals are getting stronger & more stations appearing.
One thing I have noticed with some skip openings Adelaide is often the first to be received before moving north to tropical QLD.
Sometimes it can be just a standalone event NZ or Hobart. But the times I have had SA it has progressed to Tropical QLD.
Yesterdays Skip event was Strong Tropical QLD to NZ, to weak fleeting Tropical QLD late last night.
Todays event was NZ for some to Tropical QLD.
For me it was SA to Townsville, Cairns and Innisfail, unfortunately I missed NZ.
The tropical QLD did not go further south than Townsville so no Mackay.
I know SpE is sporadic but I am noticing some patterns here with some events, what are peoples thoughts?
Lastly has any one outside of the Hawkesbury coverage area had SpE from Norfolk Island, or is it close for single hop E’s?
After yesterday, anything was going to be a let down, ATM CQ inc Gladstone plus south to Mt Canobolas and Middle Brother troppo.
A log yesterday was hard to keep - this is what I noted during the first opening (the secondwas even harder and features NZ and Tassie). 8SAT = Flow FM. The low power Wilcannia relay of 2WEB was notable for me. It was also interesting that the strength of the signal could overcome locals like Logan FM.
Any sign of 88.9 Braidwood? I suppose with so much stuff coming in, hard to tell. I am doing QSL cards for anyone that picks us up via DX (have sent one to @tamago_otoko )
