Getting the Mt CennCCruaich ABCs as well in the NSW Southern Highlands except for 107.1 which is blocked by the local community radio station.
That is a great catch Orange national fmâs into Brisbane in the middle of winter!!!
Are you still using the fm omnidirectional antenna?
Wow well done; I knew Orange would be possible into Brisbane.
Canberra quite strong into Stanhope Gardens (NW) Sydney this morning.
All fm stations and community stations received. 103.9 News Radio the strongest followed by 102.3 ABC Classic, 105.5 SBS, and then Triple J.
Of the commercials Mix 106.3 is the strongest.
98.3 2XX fm the strongest of the community.
No Eagle fm, that duct must be flying over the top of me.
@Radiohead try for Canberra dab+ reception
This was using a 4 element directional pointed roughly south.
This Morning in Moss Vale reception was noted of these stations.
Hit 99.7 Griffith (with RDS)
MIA ABCs 96.5, 98.1, 100.5
Hit 93.1 Wagga
ABC Central West on 94.1
As well as reception of Canobolas, CennCruich, South West Slopes ABCs
That quite an impressive log, especially Griffith in Moss Vale over the semi local Wollongong stations. The furthest I have had Griffith was at McDonaldâs / KFC car park on the highway near Yass. This was in non tropo conditions though.
Yes, it was in Tropo conditions on a hill I go up to not far from my house. Interestingly when i98 was nulled out to receive ABC NewsRadio Griffith, the radio was still displaying the RDS for i98
Griffith is usually received weakly into the higher parts of Canberra and Bungendore. Up at Wamboin it is often fairly strong. I find (s)hit 99.7 to be a hair stronger than the ABCs.
One of those rare mornings that had tropo on the go from both coastal and inland targets. Once again I had Coony 107.9 strong last night but this morning it was just Lithgow. No sign of Narrabri poking through the Tuggers translators. Sydney with full RDS this morning but I didnât bother to record it. Koori Radio was exceptionally strong.
Canberra starting to fluctuate madly now with CennCruich 102.3 and 105.5 swapping.
Some coastal tropo from the north starting to enhance the Newcastle Fm stations.
According to the Hepburn forecast chart tomorrow should be good again before breaking down into Monday.
Received 97.3 Omeo (Oscar FM) from the Maffra Rd site I go to. Also received 102.5 Edge-FM Deniliquin at fair levels.
Some very good tropo again today.
In the car, there was a 3 way tussle for top dog on 102.3 between Hit Port Macquarie, ABC Classic Canberra and Triple J Central West Slopes.
From Braye Park Lookout, could receive 96.7 and 99.1 Mt Dowe, ABCs from Coffs and Armidale also in, Triple J Tamworth dominated over News Radio Taree, which is unusual here. Also got 105.9 and 106.7 from Orange too, 105.1 seemed to be a blend of Orange and Kempsey.
Griffith FM stations enhanced into Albury, including 95.1 2MIA FM community radio.
This will be probably be the last day of tropo for a while. I had some moderate coastal tropo this morning. It started from the north and enhanced the Newcastle fm and tv stations. It was enough to knock out my Wollongong tv reception, quite unusual for mid winter.
It has now swung around to the south. Wollongong fm now very strong with Power fm, 2ST and Vox decoding full RDS.
Even getting Moss Vale youth Radio in stereo.
No enhancements from anywhere else so it looks like about 200km max north / south of Sydney were the ducts are active.
Local 1215 is currently airing dead air but the transmitter is still on but under the dead air is a signal of Newstalk ZB Northland (Formerly 1ZE)
what time do youse wake up of a morning to catch this stuff??
Typical âbigâ opening to the Wide Bay area into Brisbane last night. Even extended up to UHF. Wide Bay Channel 10 received while UHF channels also enhanced - interfering with Gold Coast TV reception.
89.1 Radio Blue Mts - Katoomba, NSW is currently OFF AIR.
Nothing to be heard on the frequency with no tropo about.
