Wangaratta was mentioned a few times as well as Melbourne
Hobart into Renmark is possible given that I had MMM 107.3 strong into Portland VIC, and itās dead flat in between Portland and Renmark. The Southern Ocean duct would extend further inland in winter. I do think it would be nigh on impossible to get 93.9 over the top of local 5PNN, though.
Great radio, workmans radio! BTW do ever get issues with push buttons? For example the āFM Modeā acts as the memory button. I have a couple of radios like that. Very annoying. I wonder if it is just ādustā messing around.
Not that iām a where of, butā¦
Radio National in Tamworth, New South Wales
Radio National in Cairns, Queensland
Radio National in Emerald, Queensland
use those frequencies
3BAY in Geelong, Victoria is on that frequency and yes there is Riverland Life FM in Renmark, South Australia on there as well
This has now moved to 100.7. Itās definitely NewsRadio on 93.9 as itās common via E-skip into eastern NSW.
but what NewsRadio is it
Thereās only one ABC News Radio service. Operates on different frequencies nationally.
my bad, my bad sorry
Triple M 97.9 Mildura and HIT99.5 are nice and clear in the Renmark town center, pretty weak out of town at home
Those phat highs in the Riverland againā¦
Some good winter inland tropo this morning.
95.9 Sky Sports Radio Mt Dowe 96.7 Abc Classic My Dowe, and 97.5 Triple G, Mt Dowe.
Received in Stanhope Gardens shopping centre car park on Tucson car radio.
All very weak except Abc Classic which is at moderate strength.
Some weak tropo this morning towards Sydney. I wouldnāt be surprised if coastal ducting kicks off in August due to the lack of westerlies this winter.
Hope youāre right, though August tends to be a pretty windy month usually.
Even stronger inland tropo this afternoon, 96.7 ABC Classic Mt Doer even seeked on the Tucson car radio in the Ponds.
Quite strong Central West Slopes, 102.3 and 106.3 the strongest.
93.1 /97.9 Real fm 93.9 Rocky, 97.5 Triple G all receive but very weak.
Very weak Triple J SW Slopes on 90.7
Very weak 90.7 Triple J SW Slopes, not bad for winter.
Getting most Canberra FMs here too!
91.1, 91.9, 92.7, 101.5, 102.3, 103.9 and 106.3 all detected.
104.7 and 105.5 probably there but lost under splatter.
98.3 was RN though.
103.9 the best, others a bit scratchy.
Tried for Canberra DAB, nothing there though.
The strongest of the ducting has been from the NW for me. No hint of Canberra on 101.5 and 103.9.
102.3 and 106.3 have been the nationals from the CW Slopes.
The current Hepburn forecast chart has moderate enhancements right across inland NSW.
Receiving Mt CennCCruaich tonight in Brisbane on
102.3 JJJ
105.5 Classic
106.3 News
JJJ easily the strongest; the other two barely audible.
102.3 Triple J was the strongest for me today too, 106.3 News Radio was probably second strongest followed by 105.5 ABC Classic.
The Mt CennCCruaich signal was quite unstable, it would at times be quite strong but then fade right down to the noise floor.
96.7 ABC Classic from Mt Dowe was the strongest and most stable of the signals today.
Tv. Cynic is Mt CennCCruaich your most southern catch with tropo?
No. Coincidentally now receiving MT CANOBOLAS - Google says 765km
102.7 ABC Classic - over the top of the semi local 4DDB
104.3 RN - the stronger of the 2 signals (there is a RN station in QLD on this frequency but this RN signal is in synch with Mt Dowe rather than QLD RN stations). Quite a clear signal.
Mt Dowe ABCs are stronger than usual tonight.
Armidale is coming in over the top of Wide Bay stations on 101.9 and 103.5
104.3
