That top 6 is looking good. If the season ended today there would only be two finals played in Victoria (including the grand final)
Eddie McGuire reacting to Collingwood defeating Carlton all the way from Paris. Love it.

Going to be another Sydney vs Geelong grand final with a one-sided grand final mauling at this stage
Given the swans performance this weekend I doubt they will even make it past the semi finals if they stay in the top 4 (lose first two weeks).
I also canât see Geelong making a grand final on current form. My prediction would be Brisbane vs Bulldogs
Big news out of Richmond
Also big news out of Geelong:
I donât really get the afl and their fixturing.
Personally when I go to matches live here in Melbourne I will often attend multiple games in 1 day. This weekend they decided to put two games at the same time on Saturday night in Melbourne. Saturday afternoon and twilight is wide open. Why wouldnât they schedule these differently?
Press red for Ed!
Iâm guessing itâs because both Channel 7 and FOXTEL prefer 7.30 Saturday night games to afternoon and twilight games.
But Saturday twilight games have been pulling big crowds and decent ratings for Foxtel recently.
Do you think Melbourne vs port or Essendon v Gold Coast are going to pull a better crowd or ratings than Brisbane v GWS or Fremantle vs Geelong? I think Fremantle v Geelong will be on par with Port and Melbourne.
Fremantle have been averaging ~46,500 attendance for their home games this year. I am suspecting they will get around this figure against Geelong. The game is close to a must win for Freo, and with favourable weather conditions on Saturday.
Dustin Martin is expected to attend Richmondâs Round 24 match against Gold Coast at the MCG.
This was shocks me. Wasnât other clubs offering him contracts?
Not of a fan of this idea⌠teams that finish 7th and 8th deserve to stay there and not have to fight for it again. Particularly if there is a sizeable gap between 8th and 9th.
