Given that it’ll be live on News 24, that is probably fair enough.
Back in the day when not everybody had access to News 24 I could understand it, but now, if you have ABC, you have ABC News 24.

Not the first time that a Nine News reporter has unintentionally snuck into the reporter piece to camera of a rival channel though! Sydney fluff/puff piece correspondent Mike Dalton yelling during the PTC of Seven’s Matthew Snelson in an ACDC report late last year instantly comes to mind! 
Oh dear. Is there a water leak in the Southbank studio? Is it due to the heavy rain yesterday and this morning?

The backdrop is much clearer when broadcasting from the Melbourne studios, not sure why it looks so tacky in Perth. And why is the summer backdrop being used anyway???
My guess is because last time when Tamara Oudyn was presenting from Perth, they were using the summer backdrop.
Also for some reason they have managed to get the dimensions wrong as well, leading to squashed Melbourne buildings…
