I wonder how the new ABC News look will compare to 7, 9 and Ten and even its Counterparts here in NZ.
Theyâve removed that tweet from the page. HmmâŚ
But they have retweeted Michael Rowland

Be the change you want to see Bort
They did repost the picture again with the correction of name with it saying âNews Breakfastâ, but I canât seem to load that picture at the moment either.
Since they are keeping the same set my concern is that they really need to change the backgrounds and the side panels.
Thatâs one of my concerns as well, as I think itâd look out of place with the new look, but Iâd imagine there would be some set changes. Weâll just have to wait and see.
I really hate the backgrounds, is that a screen or is it physical. If they change that, it could be a nice set
What are they rehearsing for if the set, backdrops, camera angles etc are identical?
Obviously theyâre rehearsing the new jokes that Michael promised!
Perhaps set changes will happen overnight after the last 8pm ABC News24 Bulletin with the current look. Iâd imagine they might happen during the night so itâs ready for News Breakfast, but thatâs just a prediction.
I like your optimism, but the sets visible on the screens havenât changed.
Well since thatâs the case at the moment, if there arenât any minor set changes to suit elements of the new look, at least they wonât clash as bad as the 2005 sets using the 2010 graphics back when News24 launched as @SydneyCityTV has stated a few times before, but Iâd be surprised if they donât change the sky backdrop or the glass window screen skyline graphic come tomorrow.
Iâd personally be very surprised if the parts of the set which reflect the current/soon to be old âsliding panelâ graphics arenât changed for tomorrow, especially with the multipurpose sets in Sydney and Melbourne which have been designed for multiple bulletins/programs in mind.
Another thing Iâd be surprised about if they didnât change, would be the backlit desk with the blue light, as I think that would clash a bit with the black and white, or any other palette weâll see tomorrow.
Isnât there meant to be an element of sky blue with these new graphics? If so, I wouldnât be surprised if the blue lighting is kept. Maybe a slightly lighter shade of blue, but thatâs about it really.
The biggest mystery is what a discussion of the set for ABC Breakfast has to do with the topic of ABC News I suppose weâll have to wait until tomorrow to find out
Out with the old⌠ABC News Queensland tonight.
Anyone recording the Perth Bulletin?
You could just view it on iview in average quality.
This is just a quick random small prediction, but I think when the titlecard animates, the classic ABC logo will form with the wraparound animation like on the Channel. Ok, glad I finally got that out, now back to regular discussion. And to allâŚ
MERRY RELAUNCH DAY!!
