Do you mean this one but on the opposite side? Cause I don’t think its that screen as the "structural elements don’t match up right plus in the second photo doesn’t have any of the elements over it like what I saw this morning on News Breakfast
Maybe that vertical screen as seen on News Breakfast gets moved over to the right hand side of the set for the news then. It must get placed infront of the two panels on the right with the “beams” on it. Because the desk doesn’t sit in front of the windows for news.
Yeah that’s what is happening
Couldn’t find a thread for this.
Sneak peak at the new ‘The World’ graphics/set elements.

(Had to take screenshots as i’m not sure how to post videos.)
Good to see that the new set for “The World” will actually look like something you’d expect to see from a news program in 2020, rather than an ABC Kids show circa 1998.
Looks like The World will have same position as ABC News Victoria. The 11.00pm bulletin on the news channel will also becoming from here, for interstate viewers.
New logo?
Would have preferred something super simple using the vertical plasma and control room background tbh
Ironically The World came from temporary set and not even with Beverly.
I would say they’re practicing in the new studio. It might be rolled out tomorrow or next week.
No more Powerball Set!
What’s happening with the audio in Melbourne? It’s like the microphones aren’t close to their mouths and there’s all this space echo!
Not a fan of The World’s rebranding, preferred the old intro, graphics, backdrop, etc.
The only thing that’s improved is the use of the Melbourne news set!
Given you’ve asked multiple times now and no one has responded: probably not
Did you post this somewhere? I’d be really interested in seeing it too!
I’ve been caught up in some school work - but it will be on my YouTube channel shortly!
As mentioned earlier in another topic, Matt Wordsworth was at the chromakey presenting the weather which ended the bulletin with this interesting closer shot.
