I once found this video of an old ident from the N24 days of the News Channel, and it uses a very peculiar remix of the 1985 theme that isnât necessarily the same as the current theme:
The music is very soft compared to the voices of the reporters, but I managed to hear the âABCâ Morse Code thing repeated a few times in the intro, extra strings added, a different drum beat, and the same trumpet âcallâ repeated multiple times throughout the video. Makes you wonder if the ABC actually considered bringing this theme back a lot earlier.

I wonder if the the Parramatta studio set will be any upgrade from the current one they have? I remember seeing a few years ago in this thread that the standing desks (practically every state and territory except Victoria) were pretty negatively received.

Also, this is just so small. I just donât get why you wouldnât make the title bigger. Also, what is the perspective of the ground and the goal post shadows???
Iâm guessing since they probably just send the same graphics around the country, someone in Sydney was probably upset at Sydney losing

For some reason, Joanna Nicolson is continuing on the News Channel (she did mornings), and Ros Childs is on the main channel and both are taking the same press conference?
What was the point of thatâŚ

IIRC sometimes when they cover major press conferences, and events, the news channel will continue with it, while the main channel will opt-out after sometime to cover the rest of the dayâs stories in the midday news.

Seems like they mix it up - sometimes mornings is done in the NSW studio, and sometimes afternoons is done in the NSW studio - although they have been keeping mornings mainly in the NSW studio in the past few months.
