ABC News (Channel)

Tuned in to ABC News (in Queensland) and it was the hourly news bulletin, no special broadcast or silence. Quickly switched over to ABC TV it was the same thing, except the time on screen was an hour ahead.

Pretty big mess up for a national broadcaster.

It was like that for hours.

Finished up yesterday instead - Joe O’Brien/whoever is doing the early evening shift will be filling the slot.

According to Ros this afternoon, viewers in WA and NT are experiencing intermittent signal due to satellite issues.

Update to the presenters tomorrow:

Mornings: Gemma Veness & Jeremy Fernandez
Afternoons: Melissa Mackay & Fauziah Ibrahim

Few changes to the NC schedule for next week.

On Monday-Wednesday News Breakfast will run until 9:30am. NC bulletins during the day from 10am until 6:30pm will be in 90 minute blocks, with a 30 minute filler program in between. There will be 30 minute bulletins during the evening, presented from Perth, except for the 9pm bulletin on Monday and Tuesday, which will be presented from Brisbane - there will be no 9pm bulletin on Wednesday.

On Christmas and Boxing Day, there will be 30 minute bulletins from 7am, except during the 9pm hour on Boxing Day.

Morning shift coming from the NC studio this week instead of Paramatta.

To add to the ABC News Channel chaos. Gemma Veness took over from Ruby Cornish at 1pm. Looks like the presenter blocks changed aswell

They always do 4-5 hour shifts over the Christmas-New Year period - nothing unusual.
