In South-East Queensland - there is a combined Mornings program on ABC Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast this week with Kate O’Toole filling in for the regular presenters.

How long did it take for him to read it on air? I have a feeling that he pre-records the phone calls based on how much filler there is on the program between calls. I know he might not get a lot of calls since it’s earlyish in the morning but the self-indulgent filler that he plays takes up the majority of the show.

Rugby Australia is disappointed the ABC is not broadcasting the two matches of Bledisloe Cup on Local Radio in NSW and QLD. Tomorrow ABC stations in NSW are covering a country rugby league game in Maitland, with game 2 of All Blacks v Wallabies on digital radio and ABC listen app.

ABC Radio Queensland will be airing live rolling coverage of the Queensland State Election results on Saturday night from 6pm until a result is known, with ABC Brisbane’s Steve Austin anchoring. It will also be simulcast on ABC Newsradio around the rest of Australia.

At least they are putting an effort into it this year. last election they just broadcast the tv audio and that had some problems given it was optimized for the tv
