Anzac Day marches

ABC listen will feature a special pop-up Anzac Day channel, with live broadcasts of various services, along with oral history programs from RN and feature interviews from ABC Local Radio. The channel will run from 6.00pm on 24 April to 6.00pm on 25 April (AEST).
Chris Taylor is filling in for James Valentine for the next couple of weeks (and even has stings that say it).
Sarah Macdonald is off with a broken ankle.
Took me a while to find out who it was though, he kept saying he was filling in and who he was filling in for but wasn’t mentioning his name very often. Knew who he was once he said it was Tim Webster but being in an area where we didn’t grow up with his voice, it was hard to work out - plus he kept saying ABC Radio Sydney even though he was on nationally.
They will… I suspect NewsRadio would have the fullest coverage, either through simulcasting the World Service or News 24 TV (the latter is covering it from 5pm). The online streams of Local Radio come in at 7pm Eastern and I’m guessing will either end at or pre-empt a little of Nightlife.
I guess someone out there knows whether it’ll bump sport off the AM/FM feeds… you’d think so but ABC doesn’t give out details of the AM/FM feed on their web site, only the online version that doesn’t have the sport in the first place.
There’s my local one but just change it to your station and the date - has the wrong picture for Tim Webster next week though with him filling in for Rod Quinn on Overnights.
Yes. The ABC has confirmed ABC Local Radio, News Radio and Radio Australia will take the BBC Radio coverage this Saturday from 7.35pm to 10pm AEST. Nightlife will cross to BBC News’ Rich Preston outside Buckingham Palace after 10pm AEST.
Good. I’m glad they are just not putting the audio of news 24 on. thats one of the most frustrating things they do for things like state elections - they forget radio and TV are two different mediums at times
For completeness, the ABC presser with full details for both domestic and Asia-Pacific streams… local radio is listed as “local digital on DAB+, TV channel 25, ABC listen app” confirming that it won’t bump sport off local AM/FM:
