A Current Affair

I think even over summer they do pre-record as well. So wouldn’t surprise me if it’s not aired one night it would another night

I don’t think that’s right - I’m pretty sure ACA has first run stories* all year round.

*Excluding when it recycles old stories regarding supermarket hams and what not

They could be “first run stories” but still be prerecorded or prepared from a few days/weeks ago, to run whenever they have an unscheduled show.

Yeah, I’d definitely believe that.
I saw a brief story air on ACA quite a while ago covering the result of a court case regarding a murder that happened here in Townsville. The story featured the parents of the victim being interviewed, as well as some background on the story. All of which had aired on 9 News North QLD, 3 weeks prior to the ACA story.

I’d say it was something that ACA just slot in when they had some free time, given that it was a relatively short story and aired 3 weeks after it all happened.

Last night’s A Current Affair must’ve been Tracy Grimshaw’s last for 2017 because judging by the promo endtags, Leila McKinnon will be presenting the show on Monday night.

As expected Leila is hosting from tonight with Tracy on holidays.

Did we not hear the same line last year?
And, “best year ever”? That’s a BIG call! I still find myself frequently watching clips from the golden years, with Jana, Mike, Mike and Ray.

Deb Knight will be doing some reporting for ACA next year as part of her new duties with Nine.

According to Mumbrella, Sky News political reporter Caroline Marcus apologised on air yesterday during the Credlin program for suggesting Nine knew about Ben McCormack’s attraction to young boys but failed to act upon it. The apology read:

On the Credlin project last Friday 8 December, I discussed the recent conviction and sentencing of former Nine network employee Ben McCormack on two counts of child pornography offences.
Some viewers may have understood us to be saying that people who worked with Ben McCormack and Nine and the management of the Nine network and in particular the national news and current affairs director knew of and covered up or turned a blind eye to the pedophile conduct of Ben McCormack.
Neither Sky News or I intended to suggest that was the case and apologise for any hurt or embarrassment caused by our discussion.

The promo that played over the weekend and today has “This Week” on the endboard, because the show may or may not be on tonight depending on if the Cricket finishes early:

Salim Mehajer is claiming that the arrest as shown on A Current Affair was a setup, that Spanish police were paid by an Australian man to arrest Mehajer and that he was released when they were out of site of the camera recording the arrest. He also claims he is harassed by the media - those and more bizarre words here in this exclusive self-published interview.

Oh dear god that ‘interview’ is embarrassing.

What a f#*king Drama Queen.

I don’t know about you’s, but I’m not the type of person that shows that I have money if I had money.

Also the Seven News report from Bryan Seymour, who knows if the emails made by Salim were fabricated.

Also that ‘Phone Interview’, WCDMA or LTE networks don’t sound sound that clear because of all of the error correcting and encoding. Clearly it was done via some Teleconferencing System.

Someone put Salim through a Jeremy Kyle ‘Lie Detector’ and tell me the results…

Who is the interviewer? and the whole Youtube Channel looks fake because there is only one video uploaded and no profile picture uploaded.

It has Mystery Diners written all over it…

Hpow long has Leila been filling-in on ACA? As long as Tracy has been host, right? Was she even a reporter gor the show?

Pretty sad for her career, given she will never be permanently appointed host.

Would she want to be the permanent host though?

Hopefully she might go back to news again, or maybe even become a reporter for 60 Minutes.

I imagine Leila would be quite happy to take the ACA role should Tracy retire in the next few years.
